Drying out a damp basement

I have two dehumidifiers, 1 was broke, bought new, fixed old= 2, anyways, new 1 says its 45% old says its 35%? other than that, good unit.

45% is actually 35%

My basement was a disaster, musty and damp. The first day I started my Frigidaire, it disappeared. I'm so happy and would recommend the product.

Great features

This product is wonderful, removes moisture and smells in my basement. Finally I can be comfortable in the basement.

Goodbye moisture

When the product was first hooked up right out of the box,it did not work. This was on a Saturday so I called the manufacturer, and they said that someone would be calling me back on Monday or Tuesday. They did call, and stated that they would be sending out a form to fill out for the reimbursement as they do not want the product returned, nor do they have any in stock to send to me and the store does NOT carry this product in the store. When I received the letter for the product, It requested the original bill for it, which my wife had already discarded the packing slip with the box, and the original UPC code as well, which had also been thrown out with the box. I would think that the person that I had originally talked to the day that I took it out of the box would have let me know this before the box was discarded, but no I FIND OUT THE HARD WAY! And now the information that was required for the reimbursement was inadvertently thrown away by my wife who did not know that we needed it. I realize this is not your problem, but what can I do now to be reimbursed for the defective equipment? The only thing that I can think of is the serial numbers sticker off of the product as well as copy of my Walmart Credit statement depicting the item. I am NOT a satisfied customer at this time!

The product did not work

Bought this product two weeks ago and it made a huge difference in the air quality immediately! My daughter moved into an above ground basement apartment which didn't seem damp to us. The next day after setting the unit up, we realized just how damp the apartment really was. It made a HUGE difference. It was also recommended by an exterminator that we invest in a dehumidifier to drastically reduce the amount of bugs she was seeing. The unit worked for that as well.

It is also quiet, has great features like the auto shut off when it's full, and since it has an "Energy Star" rating, I can't wait to see if there is a big difference in the utility bill.

Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. BTW, this is not a review secretly done by the manufacturer or Walmart. I am a very real person who is 100% pleased (so far -- only two weeks) with the performance of this unit.
