This one is pretty much a copy except for some cosmetic details. There was no learning curve: plug it in and turn it on. A minor convenience: the filter is easily removable and washable—more motivation to change it when the warning light comes on

I live on the top floor in a 650 square-foot apartment. A lot of the units have been having a lot of serious mold issues. About two weeks after I moved in my windows started fogging up, and had a lot of standing water around the edges and that's when I decided I needed a dehumidifier. After reading a couple reviews I went with this one and I couldn't be happier. I brought the dehumidifier home a little bit before 8 PM and ran it for about three hours and emptied almost a liter of water. The next morning the windows were bone dry and I knew I made the right purchase! The unit is very simple to use pull out of the box, remove packing tape, and turn it on, didn't even need to reference to any instruction manuals. If you are having moisture issues in your apartment and is concerned about mold I would definitely recommend that you buy this unit. Does great in my 650 square-foot apartment!

Replace 15 year old unit that was noisy and stopped working. Recommended by Consumer Reports and was an excellent choice. Had shipped to local Walmart at no cost and arrived in three days. Best price when I looked on the internet and did not have to drive around. Quiet, easy to connect and is working fine!

I bought thus a couple of months ago and liked it then, but since the weather got hot and humid it is amazing! When I aLk down into the basement now it feels the same as upstairs. It used to feel cool and damp, but now is very comfortable. My basement has two rooms, and is full of my sons stored things. I put this near the door opening and it keeps the whole basement comfortable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works well.Extremely quiet. Doesn't take up a lot of space. It's hard to clean out the water reservoir though because the top plastic with handle can not be removed. Ideally you need to be able to rub the bottom to keep it completely clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Humidity levels were horrible in our home... Feet sticking to the floors.. Just an overall feeling of excessive moisture in the air.. Concerned about mold growing as I am allergic.. We went searching and were looking for a large capacity machine with a trusted name. The product was delivered quickly and now about two months in she isn't running constantly. She turns on for a moment just to check the air...much better breathung. Love this product. Definatelt a must have.

Not only does it look great, it works quick, is quiet, and is so easy to empty. I have several Frigidaire products and have been very happy with all, including this latest purchase. Would highly recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Functions well for our basement area. Has been pulling an unbelievable amount of water out of the air. I'm not so sure the sensors are totally right as they do not coordinate to other meters we have and it seems to stay on even when it's own meter says it is below whatever you set it at. But it is nice and quite and easy to empty.

I would rate the overall quality and features of this model as just OK. There are definitely areas for improvement. First, unlike other comparable units, this one only has a "low" and "high" fan speed, no "medium." What I noticed first was the somewhat shoddy construction. The plastic panels do not fit together smoothly and seamlessly. What really bothers me about this unit is the very noticeable hum when the compressor is running. Others in reviews commented that this was a quiet unit, but I don't think so. The single reason I chose it over other units was because the other makes got even worse reliability ratings than this one. I hate buying these small appliances only to have the compressors go out after 6 months to a year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this in the crawl space under our house. We can walk in our crawl space and it does well to keep the dampness out and smells. We use the garden hose attachment in the back of the unit to a drain. Works great
