writing this to express my disappointment with no live tv pause and over the air recording. i have a ota antenna and usb drive. there is no reason that i shouldn't be able to pause live tv. the picture quality on the tv is great. just frustrating to not have features enabled that were available previously.

i wanted to like this tv (my third samsung) so, even though i was dissatisfied early on, i kept it thinking i would learn how to operate it optimally. but, i regret not returning it immediately. i cannot pinpiont a combination of picture settings that will produce a consistently decent picture for mixed content - and i have spent three months trying every combination of expert settings across every picture mode. a show will sometimes look fantastic, but it all falls apart the moment i change the channel or source. even within a single tv program, the bright scenes will be way too bright while the dark scenes are so dark you can't even see the image. also, the coloration looks unnatural the majority of the time.

The smart features are smarter and faster..The surround system is similar to a club or movie theater. The color and contrast are priceless which makes the multi view breathtaking and stuck.

epg has no search function. i was amazed how can this be, that i can't search a program by its name, when this was a standard thing about 20 years ago with many devices i had, but here this simple quality of life feature just doesn't exist, like a fridge missing its light. i have plugged a hard drive to my tv as it supports it, but there's no way to make it kick up with the tv, so i could rewind and pause as i please. now it must be manually started every single time i start up the tv. no automation allowed here. maybe the local dimming is still a work in progress or something, as the colours are sometimes very badly washed out in high contrast (dark/light) scenarios when it's in use also the frame edges smell like garbage bag left in the sun. so i avoid getting too close to the tv.

Overall a great television too bad you can't turn off the feature with a descriptive video even though it says you can you follow all the steps and it still does not work nothing more annoying than watching a TV show and the person talking in the background every single time
