Following the direction on the package to treat the area, weeks later I still have grubs. Maybe this product is not designed to kill Utah grubs? I spent a bit more as I trust Scott products, but this one is not the one for me. Now I am replacing 50 square feet of turf. Pulling the existing turf by hand only to find grubs thriving in the treated areas. Extremely disappointed!

I definitely had grubs - found quite a few digging around the yard here and there. I applied this product a couple of years ago, and subsequent digging has not turned up any grubs. My initial goal was to help eliminate moles! I had a pretty major mole problem, and eliminating the excellent food source grubs provide goes a long way towards that yard battle.

I had a new lawn laid last spring (May 2011) and noticed japanese beetles on my grape vines (July through Aug. 2011) plus dead patches on my new grass. I put GrubEx1 on my lawn in Aug. to no avail. Again I put GrubEx1 down last May (end of May 2012) and watered it in. This spring I got rid of the grape vines because the beetles destroyed them last year. For a week now I have noticed beetles flying around my yard and my back yard (new grass last spring) is a disaster... many dead spots. For some reason the beetles have been landing on my two umbrella's on my deck, where I have drowned at least a couple hundred in a bucket of soapy water. The thatch in the grass has become thick because of the grubs eating the grass roots. I'm going to the store today but this time I'm going to try something else.

After switching from a lawn service to managing my own lawn, I had a problem with grubs due to lack of experience in treating my lawn. I applied Scotts Grub-X and the problem was resolved. Since then, I apply it annually and the problem has not reappeared.

I bought 5 bags of this stuff and put it on even extra and made sure it was watered like directed. I now have more tunnels than I had before, not sure but must have fed the grubs instead of killing them. This was the biggest waste of time and money for something that was guaranteed.

I applied the grub treatment in early May. I have noticed severe patches of dead grass. I originally assumed it was from lack of rain. I began watering religiously. The yard started to look really good with the exception of the same patchy dead spots. I decided to dig and found live grubs. Very frustrating!

I live in a suburban/rural setting and, while many people think having wild turkeys around, it stinks because they tear my lawn to shreds! I found that they are really digging for grubs and Japanese beetles. That's where the Grubex comes in. Last year, I put Grubex down on 85% of my lawn (ran out before I finished). No turkeys on that 85%, but the other 15% took a beating! No more excuses this year. The entire lawn got a full cover. This product is a little pricey, but I don't have a lot of alternatives.

When we first moved to our property, the Japanese Beetles were terrible in mid-summer. They ate every nice planter/flower my wife would put on our deck. I began using Grub Ex yearly and the Beetles haven't been seen since, knock on wood. They're still in the area because I see full bags hanging in yards all summer but our yard has been spared. I can only attribute it to Grub Ex.

I do not have a large lawn in Noethwest Florida. I have a buffer area behind my home that is quite large. Have many critters that come from the preserve and armadillos. I have been dealing with armadillos for years. Decided to challange the armadillos head on. I put down the Grubex all over my entire yard. Including the bushes and areas that has a lot of pine bark. Watered in as directed. I now have little damage in the bush and grasssy areas. However, All the beds that have pine bark has become a buffet. I tried putting down more Grubex, in thae area, watered it in well and the armadilos have not stopped digging in that area at all. I went out this morning 5/18/24 and they dug up the entire area of that has the pine bark. I took photos but the ability to ad photos was not working.

At a considerable cost for the past three years I have used over 200.00 each year for Grubex. Each year I have grubs. I have a half-acre and the treatment is more than adequate and it simply doesn't work. I simply raked the areas were the dead grass spots are and each time I find grubs have eaten the roots away.
