I had a new lawn laid last spring (May 2011) and noticed japanese beetles on my grape vines (July through Aug. 2011) plus dead patches on my new grass. I put GrubEx1 on my lawn in Aug. to no avail. Again I put GrubEx1 down last May (end of May 2012) and watered it in. This spring I got rid of the grape vines because the beetles destroyed them last year. For a week now I have noticed beetles flying around my yard and my back yard (new grass last spring) is a disaster... many dead spots. For some reason the beetles have been landing on my two umbrella's on my deck, where I have drowned at least a couple hundred in a bucket of soapy water. The thatch in the grass has become thick because of the grubs eating the grass roots. I'm going to the store today but this time I'm going to try something else.

i have been using Scotts® GrubEx®1 for Two years, i followed the application instruction but this year application was totally useless, Grub damaged huge area of my lawn this year, extremely frustrated and disappointed, i trusted Scotts GrubEx1 but now my beautiful lawn is damaged.

My family has been a Scotts customer since about 1957. First my Dad and now me. There is something particularly annoying about this website. I want to know what the chemical composition is of the products. In most cases this information is not availble.amking me think Scotts is trying to avoid having the customer compare a Scotts product to a competitive product. Would love to hear your explanation for this marketing strategy.

This product is way overrated. Years ago it worked as advertised but now this stuff is worthless. Grub worms destroying my lawn as well as attracting moles. Have applied twice so far as directed and not the first dead grub. In years past there would be dead grubs laying everywhere (you could literally rake them up). This product is overpriced and worthless.

I had so many grubs in my flower beds in recent years that I had to try this product. It did an amazing job of getting rid of those nasty little buggers! I don’t think I saw one grub last year. We will be using this again this year. It’s a great product!

Following the direction on the package to treat the area, weeks later I still have grubs. Maybe this product is not designed to kill Utah grubs? I spent a bit more as I trust Scott products, but this one is not the one for me. Now I am replacing 50 square feet of turf. Pulling the existing turf by hand only to find grubs thriving in the treated areas. Extremely disappointed!

I used this on my front and back lawn 8 years and it took care of all the grubs. Along with fertilizing and watering, my neighbors would comment how nice my lawn looked. To prove that it does work, when I was selling the house, I did not apply the GrubEx that year and by the end of the summer I could see bare spots where the grubs had killed the grass. I dug up a spot on the grass about 6 inches by 6 inches and I found 7 grubs in that one spot from not using the GrubEx that one time because I was selling house.

I live in a suburban/rural setting and, while many people think having wild turkeys around, it stinks because they tear my lawn to shreds! I found that they are really digging for grubs and Japanese beetles. That's where the Grubex comes in. Last year, I put Grubex down on 85% of my lawn (ran out before I finished). No turkeys on that 85%, but the other 15% took a beating! No more excuses this year. The entire lawn got a full cover. This product is a little pricey, but I don't have a lot of alternatives.

Last Fall I had terrible grubs so this year I applied GrubX in March. Came outside today (Sept) to find a big section of lawn destroyed. GrubX does NOT last all season! Do I need to reapply?

I have been using it for years! Last year, I did not use it and it was not good. I have dead patches of grass! This year I put it on again! I will never miss another year!
