This printer stopped working after printing less than ten pages. It would not turn on. Brother replaced the new printer with a year old factory reconditioned printer. The year old printer seems to be working fine after printing about two dozen documents. I cannot give the original printer more than one star. So far, the year old printer is good, and I would give it 5 stars. I don't understand why a new product would be replaced with a product a year older.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first Brother Printer. For years I have used printers made by other manufactures. I bought this printer for someone else, based on price. Then I wound up owning and using the printer. I liked everything about the printer. Before Covid I found that BROTHER had excellent support (not so much during Covid). This was the first of the three Brother printers that I now own.

This is my first laser printer and so far, I'm very pleased. I opted to go with a machine that gave me the option to plug into my computer or go wireless. I plugged it in, downloaded the software and was on my way in a matter of minutes. The machine ran quick and quiet. The print is sharp and clear. No complaints

To turn the printer off you must hold the power switch for about 4 seconds or more. To awaken it, same thing. As near as I can tell this is not covered in any manual or instruction sheet. I almost returned the printer because I thought the switch was defective. I think this should be spelled out more clearly!

I have struggled in the past with printers that are supposed to be linked up with wifi but never fulfilled their promise. The Brother HL-L2300D is a lower priced B&W printer that uses a USB cord to move data between a computer and the printer. This means it WORKS! I like the sleep feature which means I do not feel a need to shut down the printer between tasks yet it springs to life whenever I send a print request. I

It should be noted on the ad that you will need to purchase a USB cable separately. It is NOT in the box. I bought this on line for my daughter and had it shipped to her in college. She then had to order a USB so was unable to use it for a couple of days. If you are buying a printer for the first time, you may not realize this.

This is a great printer....now that the complete driver software is finally available online. I had the printer for 3 months without being able to use it as at my convenience before Brother finally made all the software available to download. The USB driver was not available on the website or on the installation disk so basically I purchased a boat anchor.

Best B&W printer ever at a great low cost. Superb quality prints, send your print order and it turns itself on, prints the job, then turns itself off. Easy peasy! What more could I ask for? Oh yeah, more copies per ink cartridge than you'd believe possible.

I am not sure how laser printers are but this one appears to be good. I found the ink refill for putting in the cartridge very easy. The print speed is wonderful. I have yet to change my formats to different settings, so I don't know much about other aspects. I did find the canister to open the paper tray to be somewhat delicate. I am careful about that.

Love this printer! It was very easy to hook up to my computer and to get it running. No problems at all. I like the compact size of it. Does a great job of printing and the documents are sharp and easy to read. When we need another printer, I would purchase this one or a Brother similar to it.
