Presently, I needed a simple and dedicated printer to print black|white manuscripts without the cost of using my color ink printer. Works perfectly. The only minor problem was downloading the software to run the printer, but it was mostly due to my malware program. Go for it without hesitation!

VERY easy to set up- just run the CD with the driver, and install the paper and the toner. HOWEVER, this was only because I went to the store in advance to buy a USB cord to connect it to my laptop. I had read prior reviews which gave the heads up you would need to buy your own cord. This should have been included with the printer, or stated as a disclaimer. It cost me 5 bucks, why not just add it to keep the customers happy?

Short and sweet, this printer creates excellent images and text, duplexes perfectly.. It is easy on toner and will feed any and all paper thrown at it. That being said it is a bit on the noisy side, but given it's price point and performance that can be overlooked. I am pleased to say I would purchase again without hesitation.

This was a good little work horse until I installed Windows 11. Now it does not work at all. I am astonished Brothers is even selling it given that startling deficit. Hard to choose stars, because there is a before (5 stars) and current (zero stars). Read all the documentation before you buy.

When I replaced the paper tray the printer worked for a while but broke down later. I ended placing a wedge at the rear of the printer so as to raise that side of the tray. This seemed to solve the problem. It does reoccur if I happen to move the printer a little bit.

The only printers I purchase are manufactured by Brother. The HL-L2300D is like my watch. It keeps on "ticking." I've not had any problems, but as I experienced with another Brother printer, if you call their customer service personnel you can expect caring individuals. They will assist you in every respect. I would recommend this printer if I was given the opportunity.

Perfect! Sharp prints, fast, flawless duplex printing. Economical. Could not be more pleased. Previously had bought a Brother 11" x 17" printer and scanner. Obviously Huge. This new printer is referred to as "Little Brother". Have impressed my Brother in law with it! Expect he will be getting one soon. (also have 6 of the Brother label makers in house.)

I decided to get this printer because I was tired of purchasing ink for my old Canon printer & I couldn't be happier. I don't miss not being able to print in color & I was able to connect this printer to a nearby USB, so I didn't need it to be wireless.

This little guy is a pleasure to own! I have always appreciated the Brother brand and as an IT guy I have supported many of the enterprise level printers that service hundreds of users all day long and they are beasts! It is good to see that kind of care and ingenuity in a small consumer product. Thanks big Brother...opps... thanks Brother for treating the private consumer as well as the enterprise level industry!

It has served my needs for the last about 3 years and worked without any fault. It's cartridges are not too costly and last as long as given. I would advise anyone looking for a practical laser printer to go for the Brother HL-L2300D.
