Not as good as the Casa Di Bertacchi Meatballs

I went to Sam's Club to buy the Casa Di Bertacchi Italian meatballs that I have been buying for 15 years. To my disappointment, they replaced it with this Member's Mark meatballs and it is bad compared to the Casa brand. Please bring back the Casa Di Bertacchi brand. Thank you.

A Big Disappointment

I have purchased these meatballs several times. They were delicious! I would simmer them in BBQ sauce or make spaghetti and meatballs. The last bag I purchased had so many bone fragments and hard "things" in them. I won't be purchasing them for a while.

Thank you for your recent purchase of our Member's Mark Italian Style Beef Meatballs. Your feedback is very important to us. We apologize that you experienced this issue with our meatballs. Real meat products are inherent to the possibility of bone. We purchase only deboned meat from certified meat suppliers. On occasion, a bone fragment will get by during the de-boning process. The actual bone fragmenting occurs at the raw meat processing plants during the separation of the various cuts of meat and not at our facility. We will continue to evaluate the latest technology that may be employed to eliminate bones in our meatballs. Our Operations and Quality Assurance associates will monitor this issue closely with our Production associates.

HARD STUFF IN MEATBALLS!!

These are sorely lacking in flavor! And what is up with all the hard pieces in the meatballs ... almost seems like little pieces of bone! Bring back Casa Di Bertacchi Beef Meatballs!!! They were Superior to the lousy Member's Mark meatballs. Not all Member's Mark products are better than the name brand products!

Not happy!!

Why is everything you used to sell now becoming members mark. I have been purchasing the other meatballs for 15-20 yrs. The member mark brand is awful. Will not purchase these again. Very disappointed!!! If I could rate this less than one star I would. Please bring back the other meatballs. The rest of the bag is going to my dogs. Wonder if they will even eat them.

Great If You Like Bone And Gristle

I bought a bag of these for the first, and last, time this past weekend. This evening my wife and I sat down to a pasta dinner with these meatballs cooked in the marinara sauce, expecting a treat. I had a total of 8 in my serving, and 5 of them had inedible bits of bone and/or gristle approximately 3/16" of an inch in size. I was expecting a bit more flavor from an Italian style meatball as well. I will be returning the remainder to my local club on my next trip.

Looking for a good brand

yuck

Bought these last year for New Years Eve get together. I was very disappointed. I only tried 3 and two of them had some hard bone like piece in them. The taste was not as good as I had expected. The up side is that they let me return them hassle free. I hope they bring the other brand back. This is my go to place for meatballs.

New flavor. Not good

I have always bought these, and my whole family liked them. Bought the new and improved a few weeks ago. Could tell when I opened the bag from the strong smell that they were different. I was hoping they weren't that different, and that my kids wouldn't notice. The first comment was "what's that smell?" Once they tried them, "are these different?" Everyone could tell they were different, and not in a good way. Now I have to throw the rest of the bag out because no one will eat them. Way too much spice! They didn't need improvement in my opinion.

Where are the homestyle beef meatballs?

I use to love the Beef meatballs from Sam's club. However they no longer carry the beef homestyle. I purchased these 3 times and could not figure out why they didn't taste good. It wasn't until my boyfriend pointed out to me that they are Italian. What happened to the beef homestyle meatballs?

Convenient but bad tasting

I've bought several brands of meatballs in the grocery stores over the years. None were great, but some were useful in pasta sauce and such. But one brand tasted like burnt rubber. I didn't remember the brand when I bought these at Sam's or I would have never bought them. This is that brand, and they have a strong burnt rubber type taste. If you boil the daylights out of them, they're useful in pasta sauce, but still not good at all. Any other way where the meatball has to stand on it's own merits is a failure waiting to happen. These things are just aweful and you burp up that flavor for hours afterwards. Run away, run far, far, away!

REALLY suprised by the good reviews - Soy flavor

Sorry, but we make meatballs, and we know Italian food, and these are just not good. They taste like you'd expect from 2 of the main ingredients - "TEXTURED SOY PROTEIN", AND "SOY FLOUR". In other words, they don't taste like beef, I can't even explain the taste, but it's probably soy additives. Why can't they just use beef, egg, and breadcrumbs like they're supposed to be??? I'd gladly pay more for that!!! Why the weird fillers? Slightly lower price? - Destroys the quality.
