Crashed in less than 2 months. As a last resort I reinstalled the PS5 software with a USB drive and 3 minutes into Returnal it totally bricked. Now I have to send it in for replacement or repair which could take weeks. Call of Duty Cold War is the likely culprit for all this so don't put that game in your console. Also doesn't support 2K, variable refresh rate, or Dolby Vision, something the Xbox Series X does right out of the box. It would also not play games in HDR at 120 Hz as it's supposed to, even with HDMI 2.1.

Amazing console. Was able to snag one through the app because it was already in my cart, just had to wait for a restock. Shipped out on Thursday, received on Sunday. Fast shipping and incredible performance from the PS5. The DualSense controller itself is evolutionary in terms of next generation gaming. I will say do NOT waste your money on this console if you do not have a TV capable of 4K HDR. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for an incredible experience as long as you have a compatible TV.

What else can I say about the PS5? I mean, it is simply amazing. It is blazingly fast and the new UI really looks great and is easy to navigate. Load times are mere seconds in many cases, and playing games in 4K60 is truly a special feeling. The only downside is that the thing is massive and the design is, uh... unique.

Bought May 6th. Original delivery date was supposed to be May 28th, but they delivered it to me on May 10th. Big ups to Walmart for early delivery. Console is great for $500. 99% of my ps4 games run great on it, which was the main reason I picked it. Not many PS5 games out. Plus I am not paying $70 for a standard game. I can wait for lower price or get it from GameFly for half price a month or two later. The PS4 sounded like jet engine. This is super quite. Even started to overheat turning off. Great buy, I definitely recommend the PS5.

This console is an amazing console. I have a base model 1TB PS4 slim and I can really tell the upgrade in quality and graphics even with my console set to performance mode so I get higher frame rates. The dual sense controllers feel great. The only issue with the controller is that gets dirty very quickly. The main reason why I am giving a 4 star review instead of a 5 star review is because my game has crashed 4 times within the month that I owned the console. One time even caused my console to reboot. My PS4 has never crashed. I do believe this is a software based error and will be fixed with future updates. Also the storage is not enough. One of my games takes almost 100gb of storage and the console only comes with 667gb of usable storage. Otherwise the console is definitely worth the money!

Overall great system, but with an unforgivable issue with Blu-ray audio (when you are paying an extra $100 for the 4K Blu-ray player, it should be usable as a Blu-ray player without outputting the audio incorrectly). This is the gaming console you want. Now there will be some pros and obvious cons here. I'll begin with the cons. Please Please Please keep your PS4 system. It will be a horrible idea to completely abandon the PS4 due to the fact you have at least a 1TB or customized for 2TB compared to the PS5. Otherwise you will have to wait for a good trusted source to extend storage. Do NOT purchase this console from scalpers or above the retail price. It is worth exactly as it is, not a whole stimulus check. And for the scalpers that do sell it for over 700, that is shameful. Another side is, make sure you have room to place it. This is crucial since the PS5 is a literal behemoth. The pros of this is, this console is a definition of Next Gen. Beautiful and powerful. The download speeds are just astonishing to save you the time. The Dualsense will feel weird initially but it is a beautiful controller to enjoy. Is it worth the buy? Of course it is. I was one of those types who almost went to a different seller, thankfully I and the lucky few did not. I feel everyone's frustrations, I do believe Sony could've pushed back the date since Covid Era just destroyed physical purchases over at every stores. I did not like the wait and respectively no one else does. Given current events in the world we will not see a full stock or smoother purchases anytime soon until Next Year or towards the end of this one. Please, Hold on to your PS4 consoles and definitely have patience. Don't waste your stimulus checks on a Scalper or join bot groups. I love this console and it has been merciless to get. I, like a lot of other people, was excited to dive into the next generation of gaming consoles. After a couple weeks of gaming, I can safely say that it was completely worth the time and effort to get one! Spider-Man Miles Morales is one of the prettiest games that I've ever played! All of my PS4 games are also backwards compatible so that's a huge bonus. The controller is probably the coolest part of the whole system. The combination of the haptic motors as well as the adaptive triggers truly makes this system feel next gen.

I skipped out most of the last-gen games that were on the PS4. Then when I heard about the PlayStation Plus Collection, I knew that this was the time to jump into the PS5 and catch up on 'em. My experience has been flawless so far; extremely fast load times, crisp 4K, and of course the MUCH NEEDED 60FPS (on a decent amount of games so far). This console has been worth the insane struggle to obtain one. As a lot of people said in the other reviews, follow some people on Twitter that are dedicated to the PS5 drops, which is how I managed to purchase this console in the first place. I really hope more consoles will be produced further into 2021. Wishing the best for you all!

Insane loading times, download times, graphics, frame rates... Only downside to this console is the storage size! Hopefully in the future Sony will release some NVMe SSD's to increase it. 667 GB of useable storage will not cut it in the long run, especially when 2k21 already takes up 114 GB itself. Social features are much improved. Super quiet, very different from the Sony International Airport console we were accustomed to last generation. Ability to quick switch between games is great. Controller is great, however at the bottom of the grips, it is a bit sharp to the touch. Haptic feedback and responsive triggers add lots of immersion to your games. Purchasing process, however, was quite rough as I was met with roughly 20 error codes including the dreaded “Oh Deer” before I was let through to purchase. Once this console gets into the hands of everyone, this will be the console of the future, if not already. PS plus collection is a fantastic addition to get people playing some of the greatest PS4 games.
