Turbo tax is fine, but I found some sections to be tricky. Customer service was helpful and found flaws in the product's calculation of my mortgage interest. The thing I really don't like is that they charge to e-file state tax. I think I'll be using an accountant next year.

Problem occurred when I went from single to married filing jointly. Recently married and my wife didn't file last year. Entered zero for her AGI, as per instructions. Program said I was ready to efile. Return was rejected because my wifes AGI of zero was rejected.

Have been using TurboTax successfully and happily for over 30 years, usually with Deluxe but occasionally with Premier. I am comfortable knowing that results are complete and accurate, and I appreciate the helpful guidance provided in Easy Step. The one disappointment this year was that for the first time it would not import my data from Its Deductible, resulting in having to enter all my inputs a second time directly in TurboTax.

Organizing my paperwork and transferring the figures to Turbotax is pretty straightforward and doesn't take me any more time than preparing my information for an enrolled agent. It cost me a fraction of the EA's fee. I'm hoping that preparing my fake federal return to use in preparing my domestic partner joint return for the state tax return is easy too.

I have been using turbo tax for several years. It is very easy to use and follow questions. . I like that it carry's info from last year. I can click and read IRS pubs if I need to on the section that I am entering information on Turbo tax. I like that I can import my information from banks and investment companies.

I have used TT for years and know my way around it pretty well, but I still find certain aspects of the navigation awkward. For example, often when I revisit a topic to either just check it or to make changes, the program has erased certain answers that I've already given and requires me to answer them again, even though they are not the items I intend to change. Similarly, when I stop partway through and then come back to continue later, the program sometimes takes me to the beginning of a section rather than to the exact point I left off, so again I have to answer some questions over again. I would like to see much more precise navigation, so that I can go to exactly the spot I want and never have to re-answer questions I've already answered and that I know are already correct.

I have used Turbotax for years. I have a couple rentals, a couple brokerage accounts, other real estate and investments. Turbotax accounts for it all. It is easy to follow and make entries (as long as you have your documentation!) Hate doing taxes, but Turbotax makes it bearable!

Overall, excellent. 2 things you could improve: Better importing from last year's return. There should never be a need for the user to search for details from the prior year's return. Get rid of the e-filing charge for additional state returns. After paying more than 50% of the original price of TTax to obtain an extra state module, there should not be a charge for e-filing.

We used the Premier edition of Turbotax as we have for several years now, and the process was straightforward and convenient. We use a Macbook Pro with OS 10.11.6 and had no issues in installing and running the program. We'll be back for the 2018 Turbotax next year!

I've used TurboTax for many years and I think this is the easiest year filing ever . Thanks for streamlining and not including the graphics of actual people in this edition, kind creeped be out :) I'll be back next year. Not at all intimidating and all bases are covered.
