This is the second year in a row that I've used the Download Turbo Tax version and it's great. I can do this at my leisure and then pick it up where I left off. I plan on using this again next year. It works for me and I feel very comfortable with Turbo Tax!!

After importing transaction for trading activity, I had the program would crash auto saving, 2 out of 3 times manually saving, and twice during transmission attempts. Stress of tax season made worse by horrifying bad software. This of course of the desktop version. If only the online version could import trading activity...

Overall I have been using Turbotax for many years now. I feel you could do a much better job of giving detailed explanations in links that tell you where to categorize certain rental expenses. Example where i was stuck was we had a significant expense for a special building assessment. It is for repairs to the actual outside of the building but I felt the work should have gone into a depreciation section but it was a repair and didn't really fit any of the depreciation categories or at least I didn't see the connection. So having additional details explaining where to put certain expenditures would be helpful. You have some but it isn't very inclusive. Also there was a point where it asked if you had an expense where you should have issued a 1099 but didn't and there was never any follow up to it?

This makes taxes as painless as it gets. I have used it since it came on floppy disks and never had a problem. My return has gotten much more complicated over the years but the different versions of TurboTax have allowed me to keep using it. Now using Premier and will continue as long as I can use a computer!

I've been using Turbotax for over 10 years, and when I finally get myself to sit down to do my taxes each year, I am so happy by how quick and easy it's done with Turbotax. It takes me longer to gather all my paperwork then to actually do the filing.

difficult and cumbersome to review the actual forms in real time... or in final review other than at the end after printing as a pdf.... charity donations are difficult to edit and update... else all is quite convenient and well worth the cost....

By the time tax time rolls around I have a fairly large and complete spreadsheet containing the majority of the information I need to enter into our return. It would be extremely time saving and more accurate if there was a way to import the information. Perhaps there could be a template available for download that would ensure the data is in the correct format and sequence. I would definitely give five stars for that kind of capability.

I've been using TT for at least 15 years, but this is the first year I've had software errors. Finding a fix was extremely difficult. I was almost to the point of hiring a CPA to complete my taxes, but tried a fix that was close in error number, and it worked. After exploring in depth and finally locating a fix, I would have appreciated the ability to talk to a live person from Inuit. Next year I am not sure I will use TT, especially with all the new tax law changes.

When I prepared my mother-in-laws return and I was trying to e-file it got to a point where it was verifying whether she had a return last year and wanted the AGI. The issue is she filed " jointly" so it was her return but also her husbands. The software was not clear that she had a return. It left me thinking you should clarify that. One other issue is that her husband died in the middle of the year and the state software did not recognize it and was asking where Jim lived on Dec 31, 2017. Well - he was dead. I said he lived at his address but of course that was not true...

I like Turbo Tax and support it because Intuit is a local company. The system is not forgiving and I had to do a work around because of state income tax deductions on the Fed tax forms. It doesn't understand AZ's tax credits as a payment for state income taxes, for instance, the payment for public schools.
