I like turbo tax and will be back next year. You are guided through all the steps. There are very few problems. My only difficultly is when I go to file my taxes. If it is a year I have to pay instead of efile, I always have to go back and print more forms or feel it was difficult figure out the exact way to complete the process

review kept asking for a state. Texas does not list anything. deleted a duplicate schedule C. software refused to detect deletion-continue to ask for WHICH schedule C. kept saying I put in a tentative figure- would not correct itself ???? accept software faults. field testing is not thorough these days

Easy to use, simple downloads and good pop up boxes to answer questions. The bad part, and only reason it doesn't get a 5 star review is due to the processing/refund fee. Just incorporate the cost of filing and processing the fee in the initial cost. The way it's done at the end is bush league.

While Turbo Tax tax worked well, there were two issues that were really annoying. 1) It asked me to enter the California Capital Loss Carry Forward. Why couldn't it transfer directly from last year? 2) Why can't I pay with credit card when I e-file for taxes owed? Both of these items are annoying.

I've been using Turbotax for years. I love that it keeps track of all the basics from year to year, so I don't have to reenter the basic information. I have never been audited, but would not worry if I ever was, because I trust TurboTax. It is thorough, complete and well organized.

The thrust of this problem is at the PA State level. PA Schedule B, line 3 entry allows a tax exemption for PA state tax free dividends. Then line 7 automatically enters the same amount which is then added right back in thereby erasing the tax exempt deduction. I reported this problem to the state along with the broker and TurboTax last year. Last year I had to file an amended return. This year I had to fill out most of the PA return manually and thereby overriding the automated TurboTax entries. I will tell the PA again with my mailed in return and maybe you can put a little pressure on them also to fix the schedule.

Solid product. Fairly self explanatory, although I am a perennial TurboTax user so I'm quite familiar with this product. You still need to have your tax forms and information organized and ready like you would if using any tax professional. The software still doesn't help enough with itemized deductions, specifically how to handle per diem amounts for your occupation. I will definitely use this product again next year!

The best thing about TurboTax is doing the math. Never been very good about it but TT is always right. I also like that I don't have to update the math as in previous years. Last year I sold some stock and had never had to put that in my taxes but Turbo Tax made it a breeze. Also, the note space for a missed RMD caused by the payor. A great product!

Will use again as it coordinates with my quicken. Wish price for premier were lower. suggest allowing 2 free fed efiles and one free state efile and lowering price. would like discs to hit market earlier for ease of tax planning on cap gains, dividends, roth conversions, etc..

I have been using Turbo Tax for 5+ years and I can do my own taxes even when they are very complicated. I have handled 5 rental houses with capital improvements, sales of personal homes, sale of rental home, 1031 like-kind exchange, investment distributions, stock option sales, and solar installation credits. I believe it is very important for me to understand how the tax code impacts my financial decisions. I didn't know how to handle these things until I let Turbo Tax walk me through it. While I don't love doing my taxes, I don't fear it.
