Turbo Tax is always easy to use. It helps you answer question quickly. This year I had some new items to worry about. I needed to take the time to review the options.

Walked me through every issue, tried several different ways to save us money in a particular category and got the largest refund possible. Easily carried over information from last year saving me time and effort. Hardest thing I did was try to pay for Audit Defense, wanted codes, changed passwords, timed out, called the number and it dropped the call twice; finally created a new account. Will use Turbo Tax next year, just like we have for the last 12

I cannot even begin to describe how Turbo Tax has saved my life! My husband is a US citizen living abroad and I spent weeks and days trying to do all the complicated taxes by hand, form after form after form. Most days found me in tears trying to understand and comply with all that is required. We have spent $1000's previously on professional tax preparers only to find mistakes on past returns resulting in amendments having to be filed. Not willing to go through that again, I thought that I could do it myself, manually, I had tried Turbo Tax a few years ago but it just didn't seem to be easy to use or have all the information and forms required. But after getting road blocked on forms over and over again, in desperation I located my old Turbo Tax account. Much to my great delight, the interface had improved greatly and literally ALL the forms I required were available. I was able to plug in all information I already had and then watched the system do the calculations and pre-fill the forms for me. What a relief and literally, a life saving moment and heart attack avoidance situation! I'm ready to tackle next year's 1040 already thanks to Turbo Tax!

I had the redemption of market linked CD in 2017 (contingent debt instrument) and was not able to 100% account for it on form 8949 and still electronically file my federal return. I understand this is an uncommon situation but it would have been nice if I could override the 'B' code on form 8949 with the required 'O' IRS code. Otherwise, I am happy with the software.

This year I had a carryover loss for the first time and sold a home. I thought both could make this return more difficult, but it really didn't. In fact, because TurboTax brought my data over from 2016, I felt confident I was applying my carryover loss appropriately.

The program really "holds your hand" and walks you through each step. I like how easy it is to check what will be on the actual tax forms, at least on the CD version of Premier. With oil royalties, it is helpful to be able to double-check that items were entered properly.

I've used Turbotax for many years. This was the hardest yet. Unable to easily delete forms of info from worksheets, as I change my mind (to forgo a deduction). As I E-filed, the App erroneously showed my Federal refund as my state. Oh well. I'm done. I use Gainskeeper for stock trades and that 3 way interface went really well.

We enjoyed the easy to read instructions that walked us thru each area of our taxes. We made some mistakes and it was easy to go back and correct our errors. This is the second year that we have used TurboTax and have been most pleased in so doing. We would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone wishing to do their own taxes.

Owed money to both the Feds and the State but extremely confident that the return was correct. I filed an extension just so I could have a CPA review it for accuracy. He found no errors and was extremely satisfied with the way Turbo Tax asked the questions.

I had a case of two forms for credits. One wiped out all my tax, so there was no benefit from the IRS form for the other credit. The nonrequired form did not print with the efile, but I wanted it to. You should put options in to force certain forms that are not required if the customer desires it.
