I have found TurboTax to be an good method to prepare my tax returns, except for entry of data from K-1 forms (i.e. from Master Limited Partnerships). The suggested method of dealing with forms that have entries in more than one of Boxes 1, 2 and 3 is vague, and I see no reason why the TurboTax software cannot handle this without making the user making multiple entries of information. From going though several user help/comments, it appears that this deficiency has existed for several years.

The K-1entry is a little difficult. I only have K-1 forms for Master limited partnerships that trade on the Stock exchanges. But when I'm filling out my K-1 information in TurboTax it often feels like its asking questions as if I ran the business. You should simplify it for those of us that are just reporting for a publically traded entity. these things trade like stocks, its not like we run the business.

I've been using TurboTax for 15 years. Never had a problem. Make sure you use the internet version (i/o the cd). The internet version is easier for their tech support to go into your screen to fix issues, the system also saves your returns in case you forget to download it. Stop paying someone else to do exactly what this program does.

Turbo Tax populates all information from last year's return very well. That info is used to bring focus to essential and extraneous information, also acts as "sanity check" for this year's data. Knowing what data is required, I download credit card and checking acct data, sort into categories, and then am ready with accurate data to input data into Turbo Tax. No worries about accidentally missing required data or inaccurate calculations. Thanks for a GREAT app!!

I'm extremely disappointed that, after all this time and doing everything right and filing with TurboTax for years, THIS YEAR, because I don't have a hard copy of last year's return, I can't find the AGI, from last year, to file THIS YEAR'S return, electronically. Why is this a single point show stopper and I must now mail hard copies? Extremely disappointed.

Once you've gathered all the pertinent information, they literally walk you through every step, regardless of how complicated your taxes may be. I've been using this program for almost 20 years and it's taken the IRS double talk out of the whole process. No more fits and hassle - simple and straight forward! Thank you Turbo Tax, you have made this part of my life much easier to deal with.

If you enter natural gas well royalties the way TurboTax says to, you get into a myriad of forms related to the business enterprise (movie rights, copyrights, patents, music publishing rights, intellectual property, etc.) that produced those royalties. In reality, all we do is get a check for a calculated quantiy of natural gas that is extracted from beneath the 1/3rd acre of land that my house sits on. There should really be more guidance for "royalties" that don't involve any participation in any kind of business enterprise for people like us. And I live in Texas where just about anyone with ownership of the mineral rights under our property is getting gas well royalities. This area of TurboTax can be very confusing.

very good product and it seems like its getting better. ive been using this turbo tax for years.i just got stuck on the state review correction. couldn't understand what was needed for the correction, but figured it out. only glitch I had . I love the program

I have used turbotax since it was introduced. Over the many years of use I have never had any issues or problem with my taxes. I feel that I have always received the most return that I could get by using turbotax. The features that help you through the process always make me feel confident that all the "I"s are dotted and that no mistakes have been made. When I submit my return I do not worry that I missed something that will come back to bite me. I highly recommend turbotax for the novice to the experienced user. One of the best features is seeing what you entered for each item and comparing it with this years inputs. This help one making sure you are on the correct path and not making any mistakes or missing something. Thanks turbotax

A good basic tax program. Great that is does the math, tax table look up and e-file's. Will ask for data twice and add together, best to rough out your numbers on a printed out sheet so you know T.T. has the numbers filled out the way you want them. Spend a lot of time scrolling from top of list to bottom to work on next section when doing the interview.
