Pretty easy to use; and support was really great. Recently divorced, support assisted with these questions. The deduction (donated goods) is somewhat difficult to use. A menu to type the donation with purchase value and assigned value would be great.

Still is the easiest way to file, for me. Help section is usually pretty good. Only issue I ever had was what to do with a 1099PATR, but I figured it out. I doubt my taxes are as complicated as others but for a homeowner, small, real small business, it's a good program.

I am fairly annoyed that I couldn't import my info from It's deductible into turbotax. I have used Turbotax over the years and it had been so easy to import the info. This year I had to manually add them in. Other than that, I think Turbotax is the best.

The software is excellent at collecting my information and making tax preparation easy. It even did my investments and foreign bank accounts well. I wish they would get rid of e-filing fees, as they are terrible for the environment and completely unnecessary.

Been using TT for years and have been pretty satisfied with the software, but this year the disc did not allow for the 1 free state e-file option. Instead it automatically defaulted to a pay option so I had to print out and hard copy my state return.

I used TurboTax Premier. I don't like the way it handled the K-1 form. It split it into 2 K-1s on the return with both showing capital gains. I don't think that was right but since the income on that stock was so small it was not worth fighting with the software. TurboTax does not handled depreciating assets when the percent business use changes every year, even on straight-line depreciation.

Last year was the first year I used Turbo Tax to file, on a friends recommendation. Prior to this I was using H&R Block, but I am grateful I switched to Turbo Tax. I didn't like sitting for two or three hours in an office with someone else looking over everything, asking me hundreds of questions on my taxes. Since switching to Turbo Tax, I can start a return, save it, and pick up right where I left off all from the comfort of my home. No back and forth to the tax office. The software is easy to Navigate and I am provided a step-by-step guidance the whole way through. It is very detailed and it allows me to go through everything, while being instructed on what to do. The Learn More section is helpful, as it provides a comprehensible understanding of some aspects that I may have difficulty understanding. easy to understand and I especially like the double checking feature, to ensure there are no errors along the way. This is definitely the best way to file your taxes!

Overall I like the product, it makes relatively quick and easy work of the tax filing process. The guided entry worked as well as it has in the past. But this year, it kept consistently loosing its place when it would load new updates, starting from the beginning (lets get started). Some phrasing and navigation could better call out sale of primary residence. Previous version had a tab, now with foreclosure. After reentering Bank account info for autodeposit, it asked for you to reconfirm on state after you already reconfirmed. Software should be smart enough to see its the same account already double confirmed for Fed.

We have used turbotax for a long time and feel comfortable with the way is performs. This year a cost basis was not indicated on one of our tax statements and it caused quite a scare until it was noticed and corrected. It is the investors responsibility but a clue or nudge would be nice from turbotax.

TurboTax is the way our family has done taxes for years because we get great service and a great return. My only complaint this year is that it did not enter all the information onto the Foreign Tax Credit form, Form 1116, that had already been uploaded from our broker. I had to track down the same file and manually enter in totals. Clearly a minor issue but after uploading that information, one would think it would calculate that portion for me.
