I have used Turbotax for years and think it is a good product. In previous years I used It's Deductible for my non-cash charitable contributions with no problem. This year, however, it did not pull that info into Turbotax, so I had to re-enter the summary information, very awkwardly, into Turbotax. Although I used It's Deductible, my return now shows that I did the valuation myself (only way I could enter it). I don't know why it didn't interface, since I logged into Intuit to use it.

I have total confidence in using TurboTax for it's accuracy, plus it's so easy to use. Several years ago, I bought both TurboTax and another brand-name software to compare. TurboTax was easier to use, plus I received a refund of $300 more than the other software.

Liked everything about the software except I lost the entire return when my building experienced a power outage. If it hadn't been for my external hard drive I would have re-spent 5 hrs. re-entering the data. At the end, when asked to check for updates I installed them but the entire document disappeared and had to be restored. Anxiety was high as I thought I'd lost it for good.

Overall I like the product, it makes relatively quick and easy work of the tax filing process. The guided entry worked as well as it has in the past. But this year, it kept consistently loosing its place when it would load new updates, starting from the beginning (lets get started). Some phrasing and navigation could better call out sale of primary residence. Previous version had a tab, now with foreclosure. After reentering Bank account info for autodeposit, it asked for you to reconfirm on state after you already reconfirmed. Software should be smart enough to see its the same account already double confirmed for Fed.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it answers every new question that comes up on my taxes. With the nominal cost of "Audit Protection" I sleep better at night knowing they "have my back" in case the IRS audits me. (This hasn't happened yet, however.)

Following the step by step made this years return as simple as it has always been. I upgraded to Premier just to play safe as I had 401K cash out, spouse passing away and merging accounts. 1099-B info was a little confusing but help screens cleared up most. Thanks for your assistance.

Ive been using turbotax for much more than 2 decades (I still have my 1995 CD). Over that time I have never had a problem preparing or filing any return. My 2017 return only has 21 pages, so admittedly I have not tested all of the TurboTax capability. But I have migrated from TurboTax for Windows to TurboTax for Mac a couple years ago.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. It's current with tax changes and provides step-by-step instructions. Unfortunately for the second year running I was asked If I wanted to use my free state option went and checked "yes" but was charged for e-filing my state return. If I am offered the free state option and I would not be expected to be charged for e-filing. This is deceptive.

Do not try to impose state e-filing. It has to be simple choice for each return - Fed and State - how to file. Not a single one for both. All CA state returned is handled very badly. No where question about donation to Ca funds, etc., etc. Have to go and review all an necessary steps.

When entering the refund from a A1099-G the choices did not reflect matching type of income for Philadelphia Wage Tax refund. TT continued to ask for a link to a schedule C etc. When linked to a form the tax due increased also filled in form that was not relevant. Could not correct it and TT would not allow me to e-file. Very frustrating. Also the HSA forms and deduction was related to Spouses income but TT continued to adde an additional $7,750 to my income and increased taxes. I DELETED the forms for both of us and started over and TT continued to add funds to my income. Since the max amount was contributed by my spouse it was taxing the overfunded funds added by TT. I forced the additional contributions of the return.
