Nice tires, but worn out ~30K miles in

I loved this tire when it was new. But I didn't get 3 full winters out of it despite driving less than 10K miles a year. Mazda CX9 AWD, driven gently, alignment and tie rods done around the time they were installed, and rotated several times. These were the top rated 3-4 years ago, now I'm looking for something better, or if it can't be better, maybe not as expensive. Ugh!

Surprise feature not welcome

Bought these to replace same size tires from a 2nd string manufacturer. OEM tires had NOT been rotated and were SHOT at 35000 miles. Kumhos lasted nearly 40,000, were rotated regularly and would have gone longer except the tread was right at the wear bars and the rainy season was a month away. Now? to find out, the Michelin tire, which was supposed to be a 'premium' tire came with 8.5 32s of tread depth. Not 11/32 or even 10/32. 8.5 At a recent oil change the dealer informed me I had 7/32s remaining. Quite a shock considering I haven't even had the FIRST rotation yet. That's almost 30% of the useful tread in <5000 miles. Recommending such a High Dollar tire would be difficult for me. I rather doubt, based on first tread depth measure that this tire will last any better than the Other Guy which was 5/8 the price. I got better wear out of the Michelin tires on my S2000 which I Expected to go quickly given dedicated front / rear sizing and the nature of the beast.

60,000 miles??? No way

The worst treadweear I've seen. My 2018 Acadia has just over 16,000 miles and all 4 tires are almost wore completely out. Tires have always been properly inflated and rotated. I thought Michelin was supposed to be known for their tread life? Very disappointed and plan on filing a complaint with GMC and Michelin. I think I am owed a new set of tires but definitely something besides this type.

Half life!

I bought these tires in July 2018, and now in August 2020, I have to change all four tires because there is little thread left in them. We drove these tires for approximately 34,000 miles, which is only half the life they advertise. Not what I am used to seeing in Michelin tires. I am very dissatisfied with the quality of this product.

Great tires for my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee!

I really have no complaints about these tires. I glide through deep puddles of water as if they are parting the sea, and when driving through the snow it's almost as if they're digging the snow out of the way as I drive. The stability in driving through both of those elements is out of this world to me; yet again these tires and the Jeep Grand Cherokee were made for eachother - literally and figuratively! They work together really well, and I feel safe behind the wheel not only because the Jeep's stable build, but because of the stablility and solidity in the tires as well. I feel firmly planted to the ground in all driving conditions, plus through sharp curves. They're super quiet as well, which is another quality I rank pretty high on my list. I gave the Overall Rating four-stars only because the tread life lasted me 41k miles after tire rotations every three months consistently; however, it is mentioned on numerous tire review websites that the downfall is they do not hold up to their mileage guarantee - so I know what I'm getting myself into there. While I understand the cost is high for that feature to fall short, I am still okay with paying the high cost because all of the other features are more important to me. I will gladly pay for great handling, stability, hydroplane protection, comfort and quietness.

Very disappointed!

This tire is OE on my wife's 2017 GMC Acadia. I had very good luck with the LTX M/S on my Suburban, lasting nearly 70,000 miles, so I was happy to have this for my wife's vehicle. We are at 31,000 miles and are at 3-4/32, and need to replace them. I am disappointed in the performance of this tire.

Do not recommend

These tires came on my 2017 new, Grand Cherokee that now has 37,000 miles and have been peeling and have very little tread since around 35,000 miles. I am very disappointed that they have not lived up to the warranty specs and now I will need to replace ASAP to the tune of over a grand which Will put me in a bind! My last Michelin tires, which were not the Premier LTX lasted 60,000! I will not buy this tire again.

HORRIBLE TIRES

These tires were on my new Equinox. At 26569 miles my tires are considered bald at 2/32 on 1 and 3/32 on the other 3. For a 60,000 mile tire I find this completely unacceptable. After seeing others have the exact issue this is Not a Isolated problem. How can you fix this?

only 25,000 miles and they need replaced.

I replaced my OE Michelins with these thinking they would last.......Less than 25K miles later, on a Acura RDX that is driven very casually, tire pressure monitors and rotated every 5k miles, they need replaced. My original equipment Michelin's only made it to 27K, so I'm starting to wonder about the commitment to quality and durability. I've bought a dozen sets of Michelins, however, I'm looking at a different brand this time around.

Dismal Treadwear, Noisy

Michelin rates my size as having 8.5/32 depth when this tire is new. Mine measured at 9/32. I have 8,100 miles on these tires, alignment is perfect, the vehicle is new, and 80% of this mileage was over-the-road on interstates. Now, they are reading just a tiny fraction more than 6/32. That is just not acceptable. Another thing: If you travel rough-grain blacktop - for example I-10 in Arizona, or I-17 from I-10 to Phoenix, the noise will drive you out of the car. On concrete surfaces, you can judge your speed by the pitch of the whine, B-flat, 55; B, 60; C, 65, C# 70; D you'll get a ticket. My luck with Michelin Defenders, but in auto and SUV sizes, was amazingly good, so I will go back to those unless I buy another brand.
