We were looking for an all season tire for my husband's new used car. When we bought the car, it needed a set of all four tires. He did not want to spend money for a new set of summer and winter tires. I did some research and decided to purchase Michelin Defender tires. We live in Northern Michigan and the defender did a great job both on snow and wet pavement. Thankfully no reports of slipping off the road or other incidents. I would defiantly purchase these tires again when the time comes to replace them. I would recommend these tire to anyone looking for a great all season tire!

Road noise is greater, wet traction and stopping isn't as good, and gas milage isn't as greatly improved as I was lead to believe, but they're still better than everything else out there. Come back in 3 years and we'll see how the tread wear works out.

When it was time to put new tires on my Honda Civic SI, I chose the Defender. The streets of Atlanta (not to mention the traffic) are notoriously hard on cars and tires, even if you're just driving to and from work every day. The Defender has made my ride feel a lot less choppy, and I can feel their grip on the road during sharp turns and braking. On weekends, I sometimes drive over 2 hours (each way) to see my boyfriend. That's where I've see the biggest impact: less noise and better gas mileage. I've saved half a tank of gas each time I've make the trip since I got those tires. And the ride is much quieter. I love these tires and could not have made a better choice for my car.

I researched tires for a long time before I decided that the Michelin Defenders were the one for us. My wife drives the car 99% of the time and I was most concerned with safety. I was a bit worried about road noise because I read a few bad reviews, but there were plenty of good ones too. I had to depress the clutch at 75 mph to quiet the engine noise so I could even hear the tires. Even then, they were barely audible above the wind noise. The model is a '89 Corolla. Too early to tell about wear, but these are the best tires I have ever bought.

Purchased a full set of Defenders for my 2007 Honda Civic EX Sedan on April 8, 2013. I immediately noticed a difference in handling and noise with these tires. The ride home from the tire shop was wonderful. After a minor adjustment to the alignment, the tire drives great. However, I have experienced a significant drop in FE. Old tires were getting on average 33 to 34 MPG. These tires have dropped to 30 MPG. I commute 320 miles per week between work and home, all highway miles. This drop in mileage is concerning. I'm thinking about switching out the tires at this point. The 90K warranty and noise reduction were the selling points for me but this drop in FE could be a deal breaker. Michelin claims I should notice an improvement in mileage according to the product description but I am not experiencing this at all.

On January 3, 2013, I bought 4 new Defenders and am very glad I did, since it has rained several days since. I am impressed with how well they handled and with the stopping distance on very wet pavement. They replaced the Michelin's that came on my 2008 Honda minivan---but they did not perform as well as the Defenders. I'm very satisfied with them.

I plan on driving my car till I reach 500,000 miles. I have to be at work no matter what the weather conditions are. I also drive almost 100 miles a day. Giving these facts, I chose a tire that best fit my needs. This one does. As long as I take care of my tires, with regular tire rotation and alignment. I know these will help me reach my goal. I have enjoyed a smooth ride and they look good.

I have always preferred Michelin tires. I have tried others but always went back to Michelin. This year we bought the Defender tires for my Impala. I thought I loved Michelin before but this tire is just wonderful. We have had a tough winter here in NH but i have always felt safe with my Defenders. They have been unbelievable in the snow, on the highway and on our country roads. I would highly recommend the to everyone.

It has been 6 months since I put these tires on my car and they have handled well in rain and wet roads. I drove 70 miles a day on these tires and have had no problems. They are a major improvement over the tires put on this vehicle when made. They lasted less than 2 years. Love the Michelins.

These tires are EXCELLENT. I drive a lot for my job. The ride is smooth and solid. When I first got the tires, my car felt like a completely new automobile. In rough weather, they hug the road. Extreme weather, there is very little slippage. I bought these tires just before the winter, out east. Driving in downpours and snow has been much better than before. I am far more confident driving in adverse conditions than ever before--and it's definitely due to the tires. No lie.
