These defender tires replaced the harmonies,so far we are very pleased with how quiet and smooth these tires are.I have recommended my son get these tires for his car.I have read about reduction of fuel mileage I cannot comment on that as winter always affects fuel consumption.Yes I would buy these tires again.

During the life of the original Michelin tires one had to be replaced due to our wonderful Michigan roads. The particular dealer didn't have Michelin's, so it had to be replaced by what they indicated was "identical". For the next 15k miles any highway speed travel caused the car to vibrate to the point even the passenger seat would shake if no one was sitting in it! After taking it to the dealer and finding the issue was the tire, I had enough and purchased the Defender. Great wear life warranty was what swayed me, but have to say my original ride is back. Car is again comfortable to drive at highway speeds and the traction is outstanding. Obviously the only downfall is the excessive price vs. other brands, but that's life!

I bought a new 2012 Honda CRV in August 2012. When I left the dealership, I immediately drove 1 mile to a tire store and had them replace OEM tires with Michelin Defenders. My wife drives the car the most and she constantly remarks how great the ride is & how safe she feels. When I drive the car, I get the same great feeling.

I bought four Defenders to replace the original tires that had racked up 52,000 miles on my Altima hybrid. I hadn't felt safe on the old tires since hydroplaning for 200 feet or more in the fast lane of the freeway. Now that I have great tires, it probably will never rain again. So far, the tires seem very grippy, and cornering control is noticeably improved. They are a tiny bit noisier than the old ones, and the ride is a little rougher. I like the better control, though, and I'm counting on enjoying these tires for years to come.

How you use the product - On my car, duh. Things that are great about it - For the most part works like they should in bad weather. Did slide 1 time but it was snow on top of ice. But that is to be expected. Had approximately 4 inches of snow and still got to work. Have only had them for a month, curios how they will wear. Things that aren't so great about it - $, but I guess you get what you pay for.

The Defender has battled against wear and is still going strong. I would buy this set of tires again and have it on both of my vehicles. Love the extra mileage it gives you so changing the tires for a new set is postponed for a longer period of time.

Bought Defender tires in early December. So far I have driven in rain wet roads, 2-3 inches of snow, and some iced roads. Tires have performed well, however I am not a fast driver and take care on not-perfect roads. The Defender tires ride smooth with low noise and offer good handling at almost any speed. So far have only about 1000 miles on the tires, so will have to wait to see how they perform after extended mileage.

Drive my wife's 2005 Prius. It had trouble maneuvering around the hills (we live in the Rockies) and had a bad habit of sliding on icy/wet roads. Although the Defenders did not quite turn it into a Porsche, I can now pull a few G's going up/down the mountains. It also behaves itself during poor weather. It feels like a different car!

I got the tires for our Colorado winter season. These tires are nice but for the money I spent I expected them to grip in snow better. I have slid a couple of times so far and it's very early in the season. I would recommend this tire for dry climates.

I had a set of Defenders installed on my 2007 Camry recently, and loved them- they rode well, handled well, and looked good too. The only issue I had with them was that the highway mileage on my 2007 Camry dropped from a pre-Defender average of 34-36 mpg to 28-29 mpg after having them installed. I did take advantage of Michelin's 30 day trial, and had a set of Primacy MX4 installed, and my mileage is back. Both are great tires, the Primacy's just worked better for me. Kudos for Michelin for standing behind their product, and allowing people to try them and still have a chance to get what they really like. That's why we keep buying Michelin, and always will. Thank you Michelin for such awesome products!
