The Defender tire is the best tire I have ever purchased. The ride is quiet and smooth. They run great in all weather conditions. I live in the mountains and I drive in snow, ice and heavy rain, and the tires are great in all settings. The price is reasonable and I think its a great value for such a dependable, well-made product. Finally found a tire that lives up to the hype! Thank you Michelin for getting it right!!!

I needed tires because the OEM tires were wearing out fast. The wear bars were showing at 45K. I don't trade my cars at three or four years. I drive them at least ten years. Because of that, I wasn't concerned with the price, as much as the projected tread life. Michelin does not kid around. These tires have been on the car 15K now, and they still look like new. I check the tire pressure weekly, and have the car serviced IAW the manufacturers recommendations. They ride nicely in city traffic and are very quiet on the freeways. BTW, my car is a Dodge Grand Caravan. I live on the edge of the Mojave desert, so they are subjected to tough driving conditions especially when the air temperature is 115°F, and the road temperature is probably 20° higher. After many years of buying various brands of tires, the Defender tires by Michelin has proven to be the overall best tires I've ever owned. I commute many miles every day in all types of weather and I can honestly say the Defender gives me a feeling of confidence that just wasn't present with other brands. I liked the tires enough that I purchased another set for my wife's car. Now I don't have to worry about her driving safely in all weather conditions. There is now over 40,000 miles on my set of Defenders and it looks like I'll easily get 40,000 more miles before replacement. You can bet it will be with another set of Defenders.

I replaced energy mxv4 on my 2010 Dts with these tires. They have proven to be worthy replacements with same smooth ride and responsive handling. This tire is certainly breakthrough technology for Michelin. I was concerned that the t rated defenders would not be up for the task since the oem tires were H rated. Rest your fears these, these tires fit the bill.

These were a replacement set of tires on a Subaru Outback for a set that had not worn out yet. Being a long time purchaser of Michelin tire I expected great things from them. They have not disappointed. They have been installed for about a year and 25k miles and appear they will easily exceed the 90k mile tread life warranty! They an extremely smooth riding set of tires and I could not be happier with the tires. Will definitely continue to buy Michelins in the future!

I use these tires on my personal vehicle and I drive around 14,000 miles a year. I am very impressed with the Defenders and I believe these are the best tires I have owned. They are smooth riding with great traction and I have noticed about a 2 mile per gallon increase in my overall fuel mileage. Although only time will tell whether they will achieve the 90,000 mile tread life, I have every confidence they will do just that. Great job Michelin!

I'm probably not going to say anything that you might have already read or saw advertised about these tires. They are just amazing. The tread wear warranty is 820 or 90,000 miles. Traction in wet applications is higher than the Hydroedge, which I thought was an excellent tire, plus 10,000 more warranty miles than the Hydroedge. This tire is reasonably priced compared to the performance and handling you are getting. I did a ton of research on these tires, and believe they are the best passenger tires out there for the price. Depending on your size, you may have to pay an additional $25- 40 per tire, but with the added mileage, handling and comfort you are getting from the Defenders, it is a well advised investment. Michelin offers a 30 day money back gaurantee, which speaks volumes for their confidence in the tire, that I doubt that anyone will ever take them up on, especially on the Defenders.

We had Defenders install on our mini van before we went on vacation to VA, up in the mountains. It rained really hard while we were driving the mountains road, and I know it was the Defender tires that kept us on the road. I felt safer and more in control, my wife even said from the passenger side, "I am really glad you bought the Defender tires before this trip"

This tire comes new with 10/31" tread depth. At only 20,000 miles mine are at only 5/32" to 7/32" with normal driving (no spinning the tires, no hard braking and no hard cornering). Based on this wear, I expect somewhere around 40,000 miles on these tires which are advertised as a 90,000 mile tire. Overall traction and noise when new is good, but with so much wear the inclement weather traction is expected to decrease significantly by 35,000 to 40,000 miles.

I purchased4 of the Defender for my 2009 Jeep Patriot. I was looking for a tire that would get me through the snow, but also give me a quiet, smooth ride. What a difference !!!! I couldn't be happier with them. Not to mention the 80,000 miles warranty.
