Replaced my wife's Michelin tires with the new Michelin Defender tires. While they are excellent at holding the road, they do offer more drag than the previous Michelin tires resulting in less miles per gallon. They are comfortable due to being softer than the previous Michelin tires. The road noise is about the same. Certainly stops much better.

I replaced the tires on my 2004 Ford Taurus with the Michelin Defenders and I could immediately feel the difference in ride quality as soon as I left the service shop. I usually like to write a review after using the product for a while. I have had these tires on my car for 1 year + and I am truly satisfied. I put them on my car in July 2012 and now its Aug 2013. You will see the difference in the ride quality. Braking efficiency has siginifucantly imroved compared to my old tires and it is clearly noticable. I must also add that there is a clear drop in the fuel economy compared to my old tires, however I do not regret it, as I feel the ride is safer and I can feel it. So expect a drop in your fuel economy but at the same time expect great result on breaking and ride comfort and control

The Defender tires where installed on my wifes Subaru Outback. Within minutes of leaving the tire shop I was impressed. We have had these tires for about 10,000 miles and I have no complaints. We have seen improvements in handling and traction. I will buy another set of these next time. They are a little costly but you get what you pay for.

I use Defender tires daily to commute to the Bronx, NY from a suburban area. They are durable, reliable and require little to no maintainance.Roughly every six weeks to two months I check the air and add as needed. which is usually not much. A couple of times I have gotten glass stuck in the tires. The good thing is they are so tough that it becomes noticable, but not completely flat. So I am able to get the tire repaired before I have a flat on the road. As a female, this makes my life easy as I do not have to worry about changing flats. In all honest, I do not have any negatives with these tires. I get 50,000 mileage out of new Michelin tires and always buy this brand.

Just purchased the Michelin Defenders for our Buick Century. We just got more snow here in Indianapolis, and the Defenders are fantastic. Had them up to highway speeds right after getting them installed. They were quite, smooth, absorbed cracks in the road surface, and cornered extremely well. Good, firm handling ,but not rough. Love my Michelins!

I almost considered moving away from Michelin tires when my 2001 Grand Caravan needed new tires because of another brand I have on my 2008 Milan. However, after doing quite a bit of research and talking with sales people, I decided to give the new Defenders a try. I'm glad that I did and I couldn't be happier with them on my minivan. They are quite, have excellent traction, and ride nicely - all the things you expect a tire on a minivan to do. When the time comes to replace this set, I would buy them again or whatever descendant might exist when that time comes.

These have been the best tires I've ever bought. Besides the fact that they look great, the really do feel different when driving in rain, snow and dry conditions. I do not have AWD in my vehicle so it is VERY important to me that I have full control, especially in snow. With my Defenders, I feel safer in my Dodge Avenger with FWD than I did with any of my Jeep four wheel drive vehicles! Thank you, Michelin!

I purchased the Defenders the day before I left on vacation. It was and still is (2700 miles in two weeks) without doubt the smoothest and quietest ride we have ever experienced. We have owned the car since it was new (2007) this is the third set of tires, needless to say MICHELIN Defenders will be all I use from here on! THANK YOU MICHELIN for such a great tire!!!

The 4 Defender tires that I purchased before are excellent, even when the tread was worn to be able to see Lincoln's head on a penny when placed in the tread. I drove through some pretty heavy rain on the interstate and all day rain as well. The Defender tires handled very well and still gave me a safe and comfortable ride at interstate speeds. That is the main reason I am buying my second set for my Prius and probably will purchase a set for my wife's Town and Country too.

Just returned from 900 mile 6 day trip begun in very heavy rain driving I95 from MD to NYC, followed by extensive CT driving and side trip into MA with great weather. Tires provided both a very safe and very comfortable ride throughout our total driving times.
