Loud and hydroplanes

We bought these tires for our Honda Civic and was very disappointed that they were so loud. The road noise from these tires is unbearable. Also, we hit a small puddle of water one day on the freeway on ramp doing about 70 km/hr and the tires hydroplaned like you wouldn't believe. Scary, it almost put us into the next lane. I will never buy these tires again or recommend them to anyone. These are probably the worse tires I have ever bought.

I love my new tires!

I bought my first set of michelin tires 3 months ago. They have made a great difference, there is much less noise, and I feel much safer when driving on wet roads. I travel long distances and I chose michelin tires becuase I knew I would be buying the best quality tires available.

MICHELIN OUTLASTS OTHER BRANDS

Purchased the Michelin Defender for my 2009 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. WOW what a difference these tires made !! I have had Michelin's on other vehicles and there is no comparison to them and other brands of tires. Michelin's will outlast three sets of any other tire. I also noticed that it increased my braking ability. Better road handling, better ride, no road noise , it was worth the extra $$ because Michelin far exceeds other tires.

"A great improvement"

I purchased the Michelin "Defender" tires for a 2006 Buick La Cross to upgrade from the previous Michelin tire, which was a good tire but the "Defender" tires are excellent for traction and especially wet weather performance. Furthermore, the ride of the vehicle is improved and road noise has even diminished. The handling is also greatly improved, especially compared to the original tires of the vehicle.

Best Tire Ever

The Defender is the best set of tires I have ever owned. I do a lot of travel as a training representative and this tire gives me confidence when I am behind the wheel. Highways, mountains, curves, rain and snow are no match for the traction provided by the Defender. I would recommend this tire for anyone who wants a longlastig tire that will handle all road conditions.

I could have had a Michelin

I just went for price. Not quality. For years I have only purchased Michelin tires. I had never been dissapointed. Then I buy an old used car for work as I travel a lot. This old car was a good value buy. The true driven to church and grocery store on Sunday old car. Very few miles for a 10 year old car. The car needed tires though. I went to my usual dealer and instead of buying Michelin tires I went for a lesser cost tire as I did not spend much money on the car. Right away I noticed the road noise was different. I did not get even 30 thousand miles on these tires and started having problems then belt separation. I went back to my retailer and did not even shop. I asked for the best Michelin tires for my car. My car rides better, rides quieter and I feel more confident driving my car. I will not ever replace quality for value when it comes to tires again. It is Michelin only from now on.

Disappointing after 41K miles

I was happy to buy tires in 2012. I had Michelins on previous car and they were half warn after 60K. Today tires were checked during regular oil change and tire thread is 4/32nds. After 41K and 4 years there is not much thread left, maybe 1 more year of driving. The tires will not survive 90K or 6 years. It is very disappointing.

Michelin are the only tires I use

Michelin are the only tires I have used on the vehicles that my wife has driven for approximately 30 years. They have been very reliable, and have always delivered excellent traction, smooth / quiet ride, and high mileage. Even the few times that warranty problems have arisen, Michelin has always stood behind their warranty with quick replacement.

BEAUTIFUL RIDE AND HANDLING

This year, I decided to invest in these highly rated tires for the sake of my son, who would be using the car frequently for his college classes and for the mileage required on his job. I wanted a durable, long-lasting tire with great handling on dry, wet, and snowy roads, mainly with my son's safety in mind. As a relatively new driver, my son has remarked that the difference in handling between these Michelin Defenders and our old tires is like night and day, and as a seasoned driver, who enjoys pleasure trips on a variety of road surfaces, I can only agree. I really enjoy the sporty, yet smooth, quiet ride. Although we have not yet experienced winter conditions on these tires, we are both confident that their winter performance will also impress us beyond all expectations. This particular tire purchase has been a wise one indeed.

Rolls and rolls forever

These tires are on my 2003 Jetta TDI and I am very happy with them. The road noise is fairly low (I run at near the maximum tire pressure rating) And who ever heard of a 90,000 mile tire. These are the 3rd set of Michelin tires on this car. They came with the car when new (120,000) mi. The first 2 sets were not Defender as they weren't previously available in my size 195/65xR15. The mileage has slightly increased from the previous tire and is now 49.5- 50.5 mpg with my careful driving. Handling is good and braking is good on wet and dry conditions. The car seems to roll forever with these low resistance tires I have about 10,000 miles on them so far and they still look as new as day one.
