Made fudge with marshmellow crème and nestle milk chocolate pieces. Had trouble melting choc pieces and my fudge was gritty tasting. Couldn't figure out why tasted one of the choc pieces left still in the bag.It was gritty tasting. Wont buy anymore Nestle choc pieces. It ruined my fudge. Going to throw out. You guys changed your recipe.

Nestle Milk Chocolate Morsels are a great variation on Nestle's tried and true Semi-Sweet Morsels. You can use the Milk Chocolate Morsels in any recipe where you'd use the Semi-Sweet Morsels. In fact, one great way to use them is to use both Milk and Semi-Sweet Morsels in a recipe; the two varieties compliment each other perfectly. There are no artificial flavors or colors, nor are there preservatives in the Morsels. They are gluten free. If you are using these Morsels to make candies, they melt very well. If you follow the directions, stirring as indicated, you will get luscious, smooth melted chocolate. Nestle's Cocoa is responsibly and sustainably sourced, and they have the Rainforest Alliance seal, which makes me feel good about using their products. How lucky am I! I agree with many other comments-something has changed with nestle chocolate chips. I have made ganache and fudge the same way for years, and recently, I've found that the nestle chips wont melt properly. I like the taste, but I've had to switch brands(I've tried several others, and they all melt fine).

I received this product for free for the purpose of my review. All opinions are my own. I have not used milk chocolate morsels for baking in the past as I usually opt for the semi-sweet version. I used these for melting to dip pretzels, strawberries, marshmallows, and cookies in and they worked perfectly. I sometimes have trouble getting a good melt with chocolate, but I didn't have any issues with these. I also tried them in baked goods that could benefit from a bit more sweetness, like pancakes, and chocolate chip muffins - both of which turned out very well. I would recommend using these for baked goods in which the batter or dough surrounding them is a bit less sweet - and using the semi-sweet versions in batter or dough that is already very sweet. #freesample

I made the Toll House cookie recipe on the package. I like The milk chocolate cookies even better than the semi- sweet ones! These chips are even great plain as a snack- a great pick-me-up on a break at work. And they aren't full of chemicals and preservatives so I feel good eating them.

These chips work great in those items. I recently baked a a banana chocolate chip bundt cake and a pumpkin chocolate chip bundt cake. Just bake, cool, slice and freeze. They are also great in monster cookies which also store great in the freezer.
