When I was a child my mom cleaned with pine-sol and I loved the smell of it! So as an adult, I used pine-sol too. When I went to use it yesterday, I thought that I must have brought a generic brand or something, because it smells so bad it gave me a headache. This one is not "original scent" as it says and it doesn't smell great. Please let me know when the real original one comes back or I won't buy it again.

I used up an old bottle of original Pine Sol the other day and asked my husband to buy more while he was running errands. Little did I know the formula has changed ... and unfortunately, not for the better. The new scent smells nothing like pine. It has a fragrance more like cheap men's cologne or citronella that immediately resulted in a headache and nausea. I had to open a window and walk outside to keep from getting sick. I'd try one of the other fragrances but prefer the clean smell of natural pine. In addition, the others do not appear to have the same antibacterial qualities. If pine oil is too expensive, please seek other sources ... and/or increase the price ... and/or find a way to make one of the other popular scents antibacterial. Sorry, but the "new" Pine Sol is truly awful.

I am so upset. I purchased a new bottle of Pine-Sol and the scent is terrible. It is NOT my original scent that I have used and loved for over 42 years! PLEASE- PLEASE give us the original scent back or at least give us a choice. It looks like I will be searching for another product that I know will not be as good as my old faithful-Pine-Sol.

We ran out of our supply of Pin-Sol and restocked at our local supermarket only to find the original scent had been changed. We should have been forewarned on the label. There are few perfumes that I can tolerate...especially artificial scents. They actually nauseate me, and this one lingers and lingers. The original pine scent of Pine-Sol is about the only one I actually enjoy smelling. This new scent is just wrong. We had to give the bottle to a local thrift store in hopes that it might still be useful to someone. I'm sure it still cleans as well as the origianal. I suspect the change was made to increase profit. Well... not from us anymore. I hope someone at Pine-Sol is collecting sales data on the "Original" product. It is used slowly, so a drop in sales may not be immediately evident, but until the label says "Original Pine Scent", we aren't buying.

This is also my second attempt to post a comment about the new "longer lasting smell." You rejected my comment based on non-specific guideline violation. Other than that I criticized the smell, I have no idea what the problem was. I also stated I loved and used the original pine sol for 35 years. Perhaps you only like happy face comments? I used to use Pine-Sol original all the time! It reminded me of my childhood plus it smelled wonderful! But I just can't use the new one... the smell gives me a headache! It makes me sad to not be able to smell the glorious familiar scent that I've grown accustomed to! Please bring back the real original!

the new longer lasting scent is dreadful. I bought a second bottle just to see if maybe after 30 years of buying this stuff i got a bad batch but nooooo the company really has changed the scent. Change it back, change it back, change it back, please.

I am so disappointed with the new smell and reformulation of Original Pine Sol. I grew up with my mother using the old formula. When I became an adult, that's what I used also. Today I cleaned with the new formula and it has an awful musty smell. My teens also commented how bad it is. They love the old smell too. The new formula does not clean well. It does not leave that fresh clean airy scent. You will loose a lot of customers if you don't bring it back!

I'm sorry, I don't like the new scent. I didn't know it was changed until I used it. It was really noticeable. There is such a strong chemical scent, not the pleasant scent of the original. I thought I bought the wrong kind. Sorry about the lack of pine oil that you are having. I had to let you know my thoughts on it. I can't use it. I am sorry because I love your company and want to support it.

I miss the original smell. After years of using the original and switching to the new scent... It's not the same great smell. The new smell does not smell as good. When I wanted something different, I always switched to lemon or lavender! I hope you bring back the original scent. I really miss the smell! I hope you can bring back the original scent which is an old favorite of mine!
