It can turn a 150 square foot bedroom into a refrigerator at maximum settings. Old school design, with no frills, so hopefully it will last for a while like older appliances tended to do.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like most window a/c 's it's a little noisy when compressor kicks on. Nice color, easy to install. Works well in our 200 s.f. bedroom with southern exposure and mid-day sun. We use it just for sleeping. Cools room pretty quickly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had great expectations after a wonderful Consumer Reports Review, however... The expandable side louvers absolutely did not fit. When extended to seal against the edges of the window, there were gaps that measured large enough for most any bug, bee, spider, or creature to simply enter the house, not to mention the hot air from outside. After custom fitting cardboard, duct tape and silicone caulk to seal the gaps, I turned it on in my bedroom and found it was much too noisy to sleep in the same room with. I returned it regretfully.

I contacted customer service to see about getting a replacement, they were extremely nice and helpful. I received the replacement quickly and it works wonderfully. Very happy with this purchase and their customer service.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start off by saying what I read some people say before I purchased it, and now agree with - it definitely cools more than it says. I keep it on low cool and don't even max out how cold it can go and it keeps my entire apartment, which is more sq footage than it states it can handle. The price, along with what I stated above, and overall ease to put together and install make it a no regrets at all purchase. The only thing and I can't possibly consider this a negative - when it gets really going from time to time it'll vibrate the front and if I simply press my finger on it barely it'll stop it completely. Wish I could adjust it somehow to make that permanent, but it isn't something I'm noticing constantly just when I walk by it sometimes. I'm happy so this gets 5 stars from me.

It's a bit loud but I use head phones whole gaming and my mic doesn't pick it up so it's not a big deal

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm so satisfied with my Frigidaire air conditioner! I live in an apt and needed one for the bedroom. I've always bought an 8000BTU unit but got this 5000BTU unit and it outperforms anything I've ever had. Not only is it compact, barely noticeable in the window, but it is QUIET! It has levers to direct the air flow and they really work. With other units, no matter which way I turned the levers or adjusted the coolness, I'd always be too cold or not cool enough. With my Frigidaire, I actually get a great night's sleep!
