It was a lifesaver then - cooling our entire living room/dining room/kitchen quickly and saving us from the sweltering temperatures outside. The unit works well and quietly - it's only a few feet from the TV and we don't need to increase the volume to hear.

I have high ceilings in a 100 y/o building. It's just right for my needs. It's quite small but does the trick. Should have gotten a bigger unit but I like it so far. The price on Amazon was right for my budget.

So when it was time to get a new air conditioner I thought I would stick with what worked. The mini air conditioner is surprisingly powerful and does a good job of cooling off my 120 sq .ft. room. In fact, I've only run it on low. The temperature gage is only okay, as it seem to run either cold or not so cold. But all in all it's a good little unit and does what I wanted. Cool off the room!

It's lightweight but cools very well on the high setting. It turned out that my old one was only dirty with debris from falling branches in a storm last year. So, now I have two!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple months ago when it was really hot in Minneapolis (in the 90s) and super humid (near 100%). I was skeptical about how much this would cool down my studio apartment as I have a 10ft ceiling and the main room (~15x~20ft) is larger than the suggested size for the power of this air conditioner. But I threw caution to the wind because of the price. I was initially not happy because it didn't seem to do much but it turned out that I had it set to Hi Fan instead of Hi Cool. Once I adjusted that, then the difference was immediately felt. It cooled down my whole place in maybe an hour and when I went to bed I needed a comforter to stay warm. I highly recommend this place as it is not terribly expensive and it cools down a decent area within a short amount of time.

I'm impressed by its cooling power, which was said to only be enough for a small room, but has thus far managed to cool my entire apartment in the course of 7-12 hours. The downside to this is that there seems to be a lot of condensation, and there are points where the device seems to slow down for about a half hour or so, and make alarmingly loud noises that had me up in the middle of the night searching for the manual. [Some of the noises weren't listed in 'these are normal noises' section.] But, that seems to come and go, and it does what it's supposed to do. The setting dials are easy to understand, and installation was only the usual mildly-terrifying experience of balancing a heavyish, breakable device in a window sill.

It's quiet, especially when the compressor cycles off and on, you have to be paying attention to hear it, otherwise it's not noticeable like other window units I've owned. I have a relatively small bedroom (12' x 12') and this unit cools it very well. It's a very basic unit that seems well made.

I still continued to put it up to see if it worked & it did so I kept it. It takes a while to cool the whole bedroom probably about 10-15mins. There's not much difference felt when you change from low cool to high cool. The fans take forever for you to note a change in temperature in the room but if you want to sleep and not freeze I'd suggest putting it on cool then on fan. Overall it's an okay air conditioner. I love that it's not super heavy/big & is easy to install. Even if it takes a little while to cool when it does you don't want to leave the space. If you are on a budget I would recommend it, just make sure that if you order online check it in stores to make sure that it got there in one piece (with no dents).

I bought this mini-AC to cool a very small attic room for my home office in the hot and humid summer of Indianapolis. I was surprised that it cooled the attic so quickly. I liked the simple knob controls and drawn to its decent price value generally good reviews. For the entire month of July, I ran it Monday-Friday, for 6.5 hours a day, generally from 11:30AM - 6PM. I was very pleased that my electric bill rose up by $1.85 daily for the 19 business days I ran it starting on July 5. I would have given it a a 5-star, but I found a minor hiccup---that is, whether I had the AC on Low Cool or High Cool, the temperature level from 4 (medium) to 7 (highest cool setting), there wasn't much of a difference. It still keep my tiny home office cool, but if I needed it to be colder, the temperature in the room would not get any cooler whether it was set on medium or high AC temperature setting. Overall, I loved its efficiency, especially in that it didn't take up a lot of electricity, and it was easy to set up. I've only tested it for one month, but hopefully, when I return in September, it will continue to run as smoothly when I first turned it on in July.
