[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the temperature climbing into the 90s, I needed an air conditioner for my woodshop/shed to cool it down fast or I wasn't going to get anything done until late autumn. I was so happy to find this model which fit my narrow window. It is relatively quiet, doesn't use a lot of electricity, and cools down my shop very quickly on these hot summer days.

I was concerned that maybe I should have gotten a bigger machine, but this little guy is just awesome. Quiet, cools very well in a 12x15 living room and I can't complain. That's just how I like it!

My room gets full sun most of the day and we've been having temps in the upper 80s and 90s most of the time. This unit does a great job keeping the room cool, and sometimes cold, whenever I need it. So glad I bought it!

Does an excellent job of cooling, and the easing into the compressor modes is a good plus! The louver works well in its new design of angled disks; that change air flow directions. I would prefer it split in the middle though; so you could direct the air flow of left & right sides individualy. Otherwise am very happy with the purchase so far.

The only down side is that it doesn't have an auto shut off when a certain temperature is reached. So if you turn it on before you go to bed, it stays on all night. But for the price it is a minor inconvenience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with all these products, the biggest issue is that they don't last. I have only had it a few months. I bought it for a small bedroom and only use it on the low setting and it does the trick. It makes more noise than I expected, but I have never had a unit like this before, and I gather that this is normal for small units like this. It was cheap and I am overall happy with it. I like that it is a simple, basic unit that doesn't have a lot to go wrong. We will see how long it lasts.

I decided to install a couple window mount AC units in my house in the middle of the Nevadan desert, instead of using a huge loud dirty evaporative cooler that is difficult to get to on the roof...this year! I can honestly say that this is one of the best decisions i've made this year. The Frigidaire i ordered went into my room and the SVT i ordered went into the living room. My room unit runs pretty much 24/7 so far... haven't had any issues with it, it's forming ice from my ceiling fan it's so nice and cold! I love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My old window air conditioner finally bit the dust, squeaking it's way to a fanless death. Thank goodness I was able to find this Frigidaire model on the Internet, since all the others I looked at were too expensive and had horrible features and energy ratings, while this model hit that sometimes elusive sweet spot between great features and great value. It took me about 25 minutes to take the old unit out and to put this one in, with securing to the window and insulating any tiny spaces from the outside air with the included foam stripping. And I did this by myself, even though I have major breathing problems sometimes. It started cooling in about half an hour, and after about 3 hours the unit was making my home a very comfortable place to be, considering I live in West Tennessee, and it was absolutely steaming from the heat here. The unit runs very quiet, and my electric bill is noticeably lower to the energy efficiency of this unit. I already have a Frigidaire ceramic cooktop convection oven, refrigerator, and washer and dryer that have always worked very well and have satisfied me totally, so I am glad I was not disappointed with this unit. It just reaffirms my trust in the quality of Frigidaire products.

The bottom pan collects a significant amount of water. After a night's use in high humidity, I needed to tilt the unit at least 45 degrees to drain it completely.
