I have been buying Purina Dog Chow for many years, for every German Shepherd that I have owned. My girl that I have now is 5 years old, soon to be 6 years in August. I have trusted the Purina Brand to take care of my babies on the inside because I believe in them and I trust them totally to give my dogs the best nutrition and protein possible for a very good price. Every now and then I buy other brands of dry dog food to mix in with the Purina Dog Chow, simply to add a little variety but, the main dog food is Dog Chow or Dog Chow Natural. Keep up the really good work and, I'll keep buying Purina. 1 thing that I would like to add is, I REALLY MISS the Purina High Pro Dog Food!! I know you haven't made it for many, many years but it was a perfect fit for my "Working Dogs" of days gone by. Thank You.

I have Owned Dogs all of my 50 some years. Purina Dog Chow In The Green Bag Is All I Have Ever Feed Them. If i had a puppy i feed Purina Puppy Chow To Start With, My Dogs Have All Lived To Be Over 20 PLUS Years old Thanks To Purina.. I Always Buy The 55Lb If I Can Find It. If Not I Get 50Lb This Is The Best Dog Food Made. My Dogs Love And I Love It Too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has three dogs that we've rescued and adopted: Atlas- 6y old male; Chrono- 3y old male; Stock 2y old male. We've fed puppy chow for their first years, and dog chow after, and they are all consistently a healthy weight. We buy the 50lb and up bags and not only is it higher quality, but is also more economical than the "bargain" foods, because you don't have to feed 6-8 cups per day to give your dogs their needed nutrition (not to mention WAY less dog poo!). We've also fostered other rescues, including Clyde, who was about 20 lbs under weight when we found him, and dog chow got him to a healthy weight within a couple months. When I got a bag of dog chow that my dogs didn't want to eat (because of a change in the shape of the kibble) I notified Purina, and they sent us coupons for free replacement.

We have 2 full sized Dobermans, a Golden Retriever, a Boxer, a Lasaphaso and 2 Golden Retriever Puppies. We go through a 46 lb bag in 2 days. I wish there was coupons for this big bag. I dont use any of the products offered because of size or type. Seems normal for couponing. Cant even save UPC's for anything else.

I had my shepherd on a very expensive organic food and the poor thing was sick all the time Took her to the Vet and he said that the food was to rich for her since she doesnt do anything He suggested PURINA I thought PURINA no way Well here it is about 2 mos later and no issues I have a little dog too and the food is a little to big for him So I am going to try and ifnd something for him

I quickly realized they needed something more, something better! I switched them to Purina Dog Chow Complete. A choice that lead my dogs through a life time of great health. Missing them so tremendously after their passing, (old age) I needed to keep their memory by my side ~ I now have (4) German Shepherds. Naturally, their diet is Dog Chow Complete. This kibble is unsurpassed in nutrition and even taste. My (4) big Shepherds only go through 20 lbs. (combined) of Dog Chow per week and they are free fed, (in control of their own food intake) which tells you this food gives them exactly what they need to stay strong, healthy and maintain a normal weight w/out over eating to get what they need nutritionally. Not to mention, the smell and taste bringing my dogs to their bowl. My journey w/Dog Chow Complete started over 23 years ago, loyal to the brand as it has never failed me and in that I hope this food never changes, so my dogs can look forward to many more years of their dining pleasure! It sure is nice to know that my (4) can enjoy the same food as my (2) that started it all.

I have owned and bred English Springer Spaniels for their company and love which is truly endless. Springers are known for their boundless energy, and I can honestly say Purina's Dog Chow never failed to provide a full days worth of power and stamina. Another significant advantage to their food source has been to NEVER experience health issues of any sort. Spingers are know to have various allergies, from skin to hay fever. Not my Spaniels!!! I could go on and on. But I'll end with this, Springers are know for their beautiful luxurious coats. Again The dog Chow has consistantly come thru, helping to produce some absolutly gorgious canines

I have been using Purina dog chow for 40+ years. It is my dogs favorite! It keeps their coat soft &fluffy & their bones strong & healthy. Most of my dogs have lived for 13, 14 years. My pups are fed Purina puppy chow until they are a year old. It gives them all that extra puppy protein. I'm very happy w Purina.

When I got my puppy, I wanted to feed him the 'best'. I slowly introduced several of the 'natural' and grain free products, but his belly objected to them all. I finally decided to try the dog chow (green bag), and he had no problems at all! Not a fan of all the ingredients that he wouldn't be eating in his natural diet, but those things seem to be too rich for him. Recently I tried to upgrade him to Purina One. Even a small amount mixed into his regular food upset him, so I guess I'll be sticking with what works!
