This unit doesn't cool as well as claimed in advertisement. Run's constantly and never cool's colder than 79 deg. in a 200 sq. ft. area.

Just bought and installed it. Cools great, the exhaust air is quite warm, but it seems to use only your inside air and to push it (warmed up) out of the house, which causes the outside air to be drawn inside by the lowered inside pressure it creates? Most window air conditioners have a recirculate feature, but I guess you loose that with a portable model since it only has one hose for exhaust and does not have an intake hose to use outside air and then exhaust it.

This portable air conditioner is relatively large to be considered portable, but it does a great job at keeping the room cold. It is a bit loud though maybe louder than the window mount air conditions. I can't sleep with it on and it's even louder when it's not just running as a fan but a cooler. Seems durable and I have not had any manufacturing defect issues. Great for the living room.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two of the same units in late March, and one is still great. The other stopping cooling around October. The fan still worked but the cooling would not come on. I returned that one. The one I still have is just fine. It cools the room it's in no problem, and it would probably cool a larger room fine too.

This unit was really a good investment for our future needs.

I wish i could return it and get a window unit. You can't even watch TV, it is so loud.

I bought my A/C during the worst days of summer. I was very impressed on how it kept our master room nice and cool.

I love the cold air this product produced however the exhaust tube that attaches to the back does not stay on.

I've been running this unit for 2 months in my basement apartment and it is great as a dehumifier. Really drops the humidity quick, which makes managing the coastal new England summer a lot easier. AC mode works well. Moves a lot of air.
