Hellmanns has been the only mayo for me most of my life. I don't eat sandwiches except when the tomatoes are fresh from the garden. I thought maybe it was the dill pickles making me swell and I thought maybe my mom had cooked something to upset my stomach, but I just had a tomato sandwich for brunch and now I know....it is the mayonnaise. I avoid soy in products because that doesn't seem to set well in my body so I bought the Olive Oil mayo. I will have to throw the rest of the jar away. I guess I will learn how to make my own mayo. I don't want soy oil in my food.

I bought 2 squeeze bottles of this mayo because we go through a lot of condiments making sandwiches for 4 kids and 2 adults. We usually use Dukes but Hellmans was on sale. I noticed right away that it looked separated when I opened it, but I wasn't sure. My husband tells me today that's he's ruined 2 shirts from the oil from this mayo dripping out of his sandwiches. Disgusting! I'm calling the company for a refund!

As you can see from the picture, I am almost out of my mayonnaise. This stuff is the real deal. I love this brand because it does not have a sweet or sour taste to it. Just a very clean egg taste with a creamy base. Overall it is my go to mayo to use in a variety of dishes. Today I made a quick ham salad from my New Years ham. It is perfect! Very creamy and smooth, but light enough for a snack. Tomorrow I may use this on a sandwich or make a macaroni salad. No matter the dish, this is my preferred mayo!

The Hellmans brand is in crisis. Review after review has the same complaint as me: this is not the same product I've been super loyal to for decades. Hellmans is so iconic that it's included by name in my family's heirloom potato salad recipe passed down 3 generations. It is so runny now. Bring back the fluffy, almost jiggly thick mayonnaise. People are giving you legitimate feedback and you're just gaslighting that the recipe hasn't changed. Well your product/QC managers better hustle up and figure out the source of this problem because the last two to three jars I've purchased are off. I need thick mayonnaise for my recipes to work—goopy, liquidy does not create the right texture. It's as if the recipe contains more water than previous. Maybe your suppliers are messing with you. Get into the stores and taste your own product for gods sake! If your jars in Englewood Cliffs are the same as years past then come to Colorado where I am if you have to, where I know it's poor quality/changed product. Sad that you're not taking your loyal customers seriously. If you admitted, we are getting complaints and investigating asap and taking this seriously, I would stick around. But I'm going store brand mayonnaise and not returning to Hellmans until your review section demonstrates this has been sorted out.

I too have only eaten Hellmann's mayonnaise my entire life and put it on almost everything! In fact I love it so much that my kids bought me a 48 oz. jar for my birthday! But here I sit, after opening two new jars and tasting a strange flavor...an off sweet rancid flavor. I opened one and thought it had gone bad so I opened the other that was also missing that trademark tangy eggy taste. In fact I literally stopped cooking in the middle of dinner to let you know that I'm going to be returning them both to the store. I hope this was a manufacturing error and not a recipe change to a fantastic one-of-a-kind flavor I enjoy above all others. If it is a recipe change, you've lost me until it changes back.

Hellman's was always my go to mayo, taste and texture were perfect but the last two jars I purchased were thin and had a sort of rancid taste. First jar I threw away thinking it had spoiled then when I got a 2nd jar that tasted just as bad I realized it was the mayo, I google'd it and found out that the company actually changed the recipe. So, bye bye Hellman's and hello Duke's. Hard to understand why they would change something that was so great for so many years, but who am I to say.

I had some extra jars of Hellmans in the pantry. I used them up and bought some recently. Wow. I thought I got a bad jar. Now I know what happened. They just couldn't leave well enough alone. I sure hope it's like the new Coke and they recognize they made a bad mistake. I've had Hellmans since I was a kid. Now what?

I've been a Hellman's fan for 50 years. For the past year I started using Hellman's packets - for convenience. I'd tuck them into a pocket heading to picnics and parties because I hate Miracle Whip so I'd always have trust Hellman's with me. Then I started noticing a cardboard like after-taste and a funny texture lingering on the palate after swallowing. I thought the packets went bad, though there is no date on them and I threw out the box them came in. So I threw them out. Then I opened a fresh bottle of Hellmans. SAME taste and lingering texture! Bottle was fresh, consistency seemed good, I thought it was me. Two weeks later I started noticing a change in the texture of the remaining mayo - it was less dense, not runny as some suggest, but certainly degrading. I did something I rarely do - discarded the bottle before I reached the bottom - it was just getting weird a month after opening (and I like mine cold, so its always refrigerated). I started Googling around and there are MANY people complaining of the same issues (though more complaining about soupiness which I can't say I've experienced - or not as badly anyway as texture did change). This never happened in the years I've been using the product - going to start seeking alternatives.

Dear helmens I have used you for yours. How you managed to take eggs and oil and lemon and genetically modified is beyond me I just bought a whole case to stock up And threw it in the trash. Rest assured that your products are no longer permitted in my home. The American people will get sick of this. Food Should be natural all natural. We made you rich by buying your products. We can stop buying them just as easy.

Something has changed in and it was for the worst. Been using only Hellman's for over 40 years and so had my Mom and my Grandma' s . Even though it would cost a little more no matter what we would go without something else to pay the extra and buy Hellman's, We used nothing else especially for Tuna , egg and potato salad. The flavor that once was , is not there anymore and it's runny once mixed. The flavor seems almost spoiled after a month or so after opening . Not sure what has changed , but please go back no matter the cost and make it and sell it the same way Hellman's used to be or you will be losing many , many customers .
