Lots of uses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use Press N Seal for many different things around the house. I never had any problem tearing it off the dispenser. My daughter-in-law was hear for a birthday celebration, we were cleaning up and putting food away, and I got the Press N Seal out. She said she tried it, and can't cut it! It gets all jumbled up in a mess! She showed me, and it did. But them I did it, and it was fine! The observation we made: I'm left handed, and tear it the opposite way than she did as a right hander!

Horrible packaging

I use press and seal all the time. I am completely frustrated with the packaging lately. The little white things on the end fall out all the time and then it is almost impossible to get the press and seal out of the container. I have 3 boxes at this moment, open, hoping that one would actually work. All 3 are beyond frustrating. Very disappointed. I have been using press and seal for years and never have had this issue. Please, fix your packaging!

Frustration

This has been my favorite product. However, the last package purchased is sorely disappointing. The wrap split down the center and would only unroll in two strips with a tiny ridge in the center. The package is severely defective as many other reviews indicate. The cutter does not cut the wrap evenly. I will hesitate to purchase this again.

Great storing wrapp

When it came down to take down our artifical Christmas tree in January no one wanted to get in there & take down the ornaments and wrap them up and take apart the tree. My son got tired of his dad complaining about it so he went and took the Press 'n Seal and wrapped the tree and ornaments up all together in Press 'n Seal.

Unusual use for Cancer patient!

I am fighting Stage 3C Clear cell Ovarian Cancer for the 2nd time since Nov 2014. I had one year almost in remission and its now back. To save my veins and some pain since I did all chemo via IV and blood tests etc., I now have a PICC line in my arm and because of it, I have to keep it dry during showers. They have a plastic sleeve thingy that you can put on with buckles but I can't do it one handed. So out comes the Press and Seal wrap and ta da, I can shower and keep my PICC line dry! Yay for Glad Press and Seal! I use quite a bit to wrap around my arm so wonder if it comes in longer length boxes? Thanks Glad!!!

Not Just for Kitchens - Saved Me from Flooding!

I love Press 'n Seal, I use it all the time but never felt compelled to write about it until now. Last night after heavy rains my sump pump was not working properly and water was starting to flood my basement. The sump pump had moved too far away from the discharge pipe and the float (which determines water level) was getting hung up on the side of the pit, hence not triggering the pump to turn on when the water got too high. After trying various pieces of twine to tie the pump to the drainpipe which would allow the float to move, the twine would get wet and break. I was furiously trying to figure out what else I could use to bring them closer together when i grabbed my Press 'n Seal, cut a sheet in half, and used it to wrap the sump pump to the drain pipe. It worked like a charm, the float was not free to move. Press 'n Seal saved my basement, thanks Glad!

Hard to get off the roll, impossible to start in the package. I lost 12-15 linear feet just getting the product to unroll.

Hard to get off the roll, impossible to start in the package. I lost 12-15 linear feet just getting the product to unroll. I ended up taking the roll out and cutting the plastic with a knife. I really wanted my Christmas breads to look festive and they turned out looking just okay. It was real simple to fold the running end under to make finding the start easy and not lose the product I paid for.

horrible packaging

While I do think the product is superior to any other cling wrap, the packaging is so cheap it falls apart upon opening and is impossible to use thereafter. When we first started to buy this product this was not the case - will not buy again until the packaging is improved.

Great for sealing and re-sealing sandwiches!

I have to pass through a security check point everyday that requires the opening and closing of sandwiches for inspection and Glad Press n' Seal is PERFECT! It seals tightly and re-seals GREAT in a the few seconds I have to do this. I also use it to protect items that have to be put in my mail box that are too long for plastic zipper bags. The roll lasts a surprisingly very long time and is affordable!

Alternate use

My daughter had surgery on her ankle recently. When her stitches were removed, steri -strips were placed on the incision area. She was instructed to not get the area wet for at least 24 hours. The press'n seal was perfect at keeping the area dry while she showered. It adhered to the ankle area perfectly. An inexpensive solution and it worked like a charm. Thank You
