Casings were extremely tough. I'm not sure what they were made of but I could not bite through it very well. Needed a sharp knife, even when grilled well. Disappointed

Tough outer skin after grilling and the flavor as a whole just was not very good. No one at our bbq that tried it liked it. Ended up throwing away more than half the package.

The casings on these Apple Chicken Sausage are tough! The flavor of the chicken sausage is good - however, these casings are very tough. Adults and children did not like. We will not be purchasing this brand of Apple Chicken Sausage again.

These were my favorite thing to buy at my local Sam's Club. For some reason they no longer carry them. I can't buy them and get them shipped to the store. I can't get them shipped to my house. I can no longer get these. Super angry they just up and decided that they won't carry these anymore. I'd love to give these 5-stars because they 100% deserve them. But the decision to get rid of them made this an instant 1-star instead.

Agree with the other reviewers about the thick casing on these. We found that baking them at 400 degrees for about 15-20 min as our cooking method helped soften it up and didn't overcook the sausages. It seems like the casing was designed for another type of sausage that needs that thicker casing for a big snap. Otherwise, the taste of these is decent but not exceptional (definitely noticeable apple pieces inside). The bigger issue with this is that sausages come in one very large package, rather than in 3 sets of 4-5 sausages like the older product. This increases the potential for them to go bad after opening--as we don't eat 12 sausages that quickly. That's a big downgrade. You can't freeze the rest of the package as easily to compensate either. Worth a try if you love chicken sausage, but we won't buy this product again for these reasons. Overall, we *far preferred* the old 3 flavor pack and will send our chicken sausage business elsewhere for now. Bring the old one back Sam's Club!

I have bought this product for about two years now and this past time I noticed it was different. Very spongy and different flavor only to realize they now changed the ingredients and it also has sugar in it. I bought these because they did NOT have sugar. I will not be buying these anymore unless it changes back to what it was.

I purchased this after having friends recommend it. I are it with an open mind and the realization this would not taste anything like pork sausage. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste and texture. I cooked it on the stove top according to the package directions. I will buy this again and I jiggly recommend it.

We were very disappointed with these. I took a chance and bought these when the brand Sam's used to carry was no longer available in store. The skins were extremely tough! The meat inside the casing was dry, they were virtually inedible. Would never recommend these.

These taste very good, some people mentioned that the previous ones tasted better, I completely disagree. These have a great flavor, the only draw back is that the sausages are a bit high in sodium, for me that is not an issue. Also they are not kosher (natural pork casing).Overall I will buy again.

I have purchased these sausages for years, and I was so happy to have a clean chicken sausage with no additives, sugar, corn, hormones, etc. The picture on the website is the old packaging, but the package that I got last week is noticeably spongy and when I looked at the ingredients, it's a bunch of sugar, corn and additives added now, presumably to cut cost. SO DISAPPOINTED!!!
