Beautiful watch BUT...
This watch is so beautiful and I love the features it comes with, all of the activity options, its waterproof, the sleep mode, etc. BUT... I don't think this watch likes apple products that much! When I first got the watch I stopped receiving text messages which I needed because I work in EMS so can't always have my phone in my hand. When I looked online trying to figure out a solution there was not much online and all that was online I attempted to do. I finally restarted the device and started receiving my text again. I was just a bit annoyed given how much I've spent on this watch. One thing I also don't like is when I have my watch on I wish my actual phone wouldn't make noise, just my watch when receiving a text or social media notification. Like apple watch, when your phone is connected to it and when its on your wrist, the phone itself doesn't make noise, just the watch. So due to Garmin not having that feature its convenient when I get a call but my hands are busy and I cannot silence my phone... Lastly, I dislike when I'm a certain feet away from my phone, the phone disconnects to my watch. Sometimes I run into the store and leave my phone in and within feet my phone disconnects from my watch and I do not like that! Aside from those things, I love the watch when I workout and have no complaints in that aspect.
So many features!
I have had my Venu 3S for about a month and I am so far very impressed with all the features it has to offer. I love that it breaks down my stress and sleep and gives recommendations of things I can do to have a better night sleep or how to wind down for the day. The challenges that the app offer keep me motivated to move and accomplish the goals I have. I am still learning about all the features the watch has to offer but so far it's been awesome.
Great overall active watch
I've been a fitbit user for over a decade & finally made the switch b/c I took on the challenge to run a marathon. We'll that may not have been my best decision this watch truly is. Besides great running feature. Love the stress/ body battery. Love how my msgs/ emails appears. At times with a photo. So many features, I haven't worked through all of them. Downside is the strength training tracker. I have a difficult time using it
Frustrated
I have been using my watch venu3s for 4 months and not using phone feature. This is 2nd time in approximately a month that I have had to go through set up process to connect phone to app taking an a lot of time and effort to connect and not understanding why! It takes setting up all over. I love my watch and app without this annoying issue.

Excellent watch with some disabled features...
After having the similarly priced Forerunner 265s, I thought I was upgrading to the Venu 3s. The latter has the new gen sensor (ELEVATE 5) that tracks skin temperature and probably has better accuracy. It can also detect heart Afib and that could be a handy feature for a 60 year old person... The watch is excellent, like every Garmin. With a always-on-display turned off, it will easily give you a week of battery life (less than advertised but still way better then Apple and Samsung), it has many "smartwatch" features and I can't think of anything missing. But where it really shines is data, lots of data... From steps and recording every workout to HRV, stress, sleep phases, body battery and training readiness - it will collect as much as any other device short of Fenix or other high end Garmin watches. The data is presented in a useful way but there are huge missed opportunities. The biggest one is not providing an option to look at the big picture - present all metrics in a Monthly view instead of daily. Daily data varies a lot but the value of health tracking lays in monthly view. It provides insight into health's real trending - the reason why we wear tracking devices in the first place. A real disappointment is Garmin decision to actually remove access to watch data. As opposed to Forerunner 265s, on Venu 3s screen, one can not tap to different days in the weekly view to see the values (number) for each day. This is now exclusive to Connect app. Why?...
great watch!
I switched from my Apple Watch to this Garmin about 6 months ago. And I really like the increased fitness aspects! This tracks so much more than my other watch did and the battery life is amazing. I love that my sleep is tracked too. This watch can also create running programs for you based on your goals and I love how detailed the snowboarding workout is. The only thing I wish was better is some of technological aspects. I miss being able to respond to texts and pinging my phone when I can't find it. Overall this is a really great watch for an active person or anyone looking to improve their health.
Satisfied Immensely
I had been using fitbit since 2019, and was going back and forth between a pixel and garmin. I read a variety of reviews and decided garmin seemed to fit my needs. I am very glad I went with them. This is a high quality and versatile watch that provides a lot of personalized information. It is a must have for anyone interested in biohacking and optimizing their time and performance. I can also download my spotify premium and use that for runs. I am so glad I went with garmin!
Perfect smart watch
Bought this a month ago after years of an Apple Watch. I love the style and the easy readability of the face watch. The stats are helpful. It’s easy to use for running and general workout ms for fitness tracking. It has more than I need but not too much that I can’t navigate it. And the battery lasts a week!!!
A Must-Have Upgrade!
I recently upgraded to the Garmin Venu 3 from the Venu 2 Plus, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! While I initially hesitated to switch because of how satisfied I was with the Venu 2 Plus, the Venu 3 exceeded all my expectations. The software and design feel familiar yet refined, making the transition seamless. Activity tracking is flawless, and the GPS connects almost instantly, perfect for my 2–5-mile runs and cycling. The sleep and body battery features accurately match my energy levels and help me plan my days better. It’s the perfect balance of style, functionality, and reliability. Whether upgrading or getting your first smartwatch, the Venu 3 is an investment I’d recommend to anyone—it truly enhances both fitness tracking and overall health insights.
Sleep Tracking Problems
I've had my venue 3s for over a month wearing it very consistently. The sleep tracking isnt that accurate it isnt detecting all my awake times. The nap tracking is supposed to autodetect and it didn't the first time I used it. The next time I manually turned nap tracking on it overwrite my prior nights sleep and it has done that with the 2 naps I took since. The exercise tracking is great, now if the sleep related issues would get fixed that would be great. I reached out on Facebook eith no response as well
