I do not generally write reviews for anything, and I've never written a negative one. But, Morning Star, how could you change the best veggie protein on the market? Please give us back what we love! This new taste is 1) just like everyone else's and 2) gross. Please and thank you!

These breakfast patties have been a staple of my diet for over 20 years. I'm extremely disappointed that I will no longer be able to purchase these patties because the new recipe is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!! I appreciate that Morningstar made the patties vegan, but they really need to make a second vegetarian option with the old recipe. The taste of the new patty is so bad that I can't even finish one!

In the past I have eaten 4-6 of these per day as they were my go-to protein option. Now that they have changed the recipe, I'm having to move in a new direction. The new recipe is terrible. I applaud them for trying to go vegan but as others have said, why not do both? As it is, once I finish up the vegetarian versions that I have left, I'll be moving on to some other product. I can't see how the few vegans that would eat this product (I can't imagine they think it tastes good either) is going to make up for the insane amount of non-vegans who are giving up on it.

I cannot understand why a company would change such a great product to something that has a mushy center, poor texture on the outside and is really bland in flavor. I guess the company execs just do not get it. At least the company should give an option for the original style. I tried every way cook them, no difference. I just quit buying them until a the original is back.

My family has been enjoying these for many years, they recently changed something in the recipe, probably to appease a vegan rating. The new breakfast patties are almost inedible there so bad. I can't believe someone made this product and at the end of all their hard work decided it was okay for the public to eat.

I understand giving a vegan option, but WHY WHY WHY get rid of the original recipe altogether? The new vegan recipe is disgusting in both texture and flavor, nothing like the original. If you are actually finding repeat customers for these nasty vegan patties, great, but bring back the Original Vegetarian patties as well, please!

These were my favorite since I was a little girl (I just turned 40, for the record). I noticed a major taste in change and texture. At first I thought that it was a bad batch so I threw them away and bought some more. I'm glad that the company wants to make a vegan option but I'd love to see them have the original recipe AND a vegan option. Please please please? For those of us who have been loyal customers our entire lives? In the meantime, I've gotten used to the flavor. I don't enjoy them, but I'm used to them. I hate all animal-based bacon and sausage products, Turkey, pork, or otherwise, so this is what I like to have with my breakfast.

My family has been eating these patties for the past 40+ years and they're a staple in our freezer. Our last bag, however, tasted weird and had an unpleasant texture. My first thought was that the bag had thawed and been refrozen, but after a second bag, I realized something was definitely up. It seems MorningStar Farms has modified the recipe, leaving our beloved patties with an unrecognizable (gross) taste and a nasty new texture, that leaves rubbery bits behind in your mouth and teeth. I understand the company's desire to appeal to the vegan market, but MorningStar should simply make a second option. It is seriously disappointing to lose a breakfast item we've loved for decades. I hope the company will revert to the original recipe that we love. In the meantime, we won't be buying these anymore.

I've been eating the sausage patties since I was a child and now my children enjoy them...until recently. You have changed the recipe and I'm not sure why. At first I thought it was a bad batch but after another purchase I realized you changed your recipe. I understand the need to have vegan options but I don't understand why you changed something that we all loved. Why not just ADD a vegan sausage but keep the ORIGINAL. Also by still saying they're "original" when they are not is pretty deceptive. You have lost a loyal customer in this change and I hope that you bring the true "original" sausage patties back.

For years these were the best veggie "sausage" patties available; they had a nice texture and good, slightly-spicy flavor. They changed sometime in the last couple of years: the new texture is mushy and unappetizing as any other brand, and the flavor is off-putting and slightly sweet. These are bad, and even worse they are bad in a generic way. I was originally hoping this was some COVID-related supply-chain issue but it seems to be permanent. With great sadness I have stopped buying MorningStar patties. If you bring back the original recipe I would start again.
