These have been my favorite sausages for more than 10 years. I bought a pack for the first time in a few months and they are terrible! The new recipe is gross and mushy, with a bad flavor. I used to always recommend these to people, not anymore. So disappointing! Who tested this recipe and gave the OK? They are awful. Bring back the old recipe please!

I've been eating these patties for 29 years. They were one of my favorite foods, and I used to cook them and add them to so many dishes such as omelets, taco salad, mini burgers, and as a pizza topper. I ate these patties every day. They are barely palatable now and have zero distinguishing flavor. Pan frying them is not a good experience. They smoke and burn even at a lower temperature. They should no longer be called sausage patties because the sausage flavor, and even salt, has been removed. Kellogg's, you did us dirty. Please go back to the previous recipe. No one else makes their sausage patties as well as you used to.

My 13-year-old son has enjoyed these breakfast patties for years, but noticed the difference and won't eat them anymore. I assumed we had a "bad batch," but am dismayed to learn about the recipe change. Please consider bringing back the old recipe. The new one is MUCH MUCH worse.

I have been a vegetarian for 45 years and these products have been my go to when I didn't have any other options. For some reason, the recipe has been changed to a squishy mess and I simply cannot understand what a company would change a recipe that was almost perfect! The texture was great, the taste was great. Now they are disgusting, they taste awful and the texture is that of mush. So disappointed.

I have purchase your veggie patties for the past 13 years to eat every single morning. I am SO disappointed in the taste and texture change. My 7 year old nephew spends the night once a month and he even noticed it (unprompted) when I made him breakfast. Please, please, please change them back! I won't be buying these for everyday use anymore if you keep the new taste. So sad….

I've eaten these for breakfast sausages patties since the 90s. The new "formula" just isn't working for me. I'd love to love them, but isn't happening. They are rubbery, don't brown right - they move from "raw" to "charcoal" in a few seconds - and seem to have chunks in them. I even bought them when their prices went from reasonable to not. (These now cost the same as NY strip steak at my local.) The point of this product to me, a person who eats most anything, was that it had its own thing going on. It never really tried to taste like pig. I liked that. Charted its own course. They did the same with some of their other products too like the buffalo chicken wings and black bean burgers. I still enjoy both of them. They are good b/c they were well executed and taste great, not b/c they were an imitation of something else. I understand the need to remain relevant, but you've missed the mark. Next!

Our family has been a consumer of the sausage patties for years -- even my picky toddler! The previous recipe was outstanding, & although I do eat meat, I preferred the previous recipe over meat products -- they were that good. That all changed a few months ago when the recipe changed. Completely different flavor & texture now, and it is horrible. So horrible that we threw out the unopened bags once we realized the recipe change, and are looking for a replacement. Wish they would change the recipe back!

My wife asked me "Did the Morning Star Sausage Patty recipe change? It tastes like dog food now". I didn't realizing there was a recipe change until afterwards - I was still hoping the change wasn't true but then I google'd it an saw all of the negative feedback. At the end of the day, sales will either keep the change or make you change the recipe back. Given how they taste now, and for some ridiculous reason trying to appeal to an even smaller market (vegans), I can only expect sales to decline. A staple in our house for years, we will not be buying it in the future. Somebody made a bad decision to change the recipe - I hope they realize it sooner than later and return to the original. Until then, we'll look for an alternative.

I've bought these breakfast sausages for years, highly recommended to so many people. However the new recipe has completely changed the flavor to a now odd peppery unfamiliar one, you've added 10 additional calories without adding additional protein or product weight. Texture is now soft and greasy. Why did product development change such a once delicious product?

Used to love these, but I noticed recently that my two new bags of morning star sausage patties tasted bad and had a weird, stringy sort of texture. At first I chalked it up to maybe a bad batch. I Figured I'd try buying some more, but after buying two more bags the sausage definitely taste worse than they used to. Would have been nice if it was clearly marked on the packaging that the recipe had changed! Used to eat these almost everyday, but I guess I'll have to branch out now and try some other veggie sausage patties. Hopefully they'll bring the old recipe back sometime soon and I can go back to eating these.
