I keep the freezer stocked with Eggo waffles because I work two jobs and have 3 teens that are all on different schedules. They can pop these in the toaster and be eating breakfast in a snap. . .through in a glass of mild and a banana and we are good to go!

These aren't Grandma's wapples - - but they're very d#mned close to them! As soon as they come outa the Toaster... Don't start a conversation , or get side-tracked - they need to be eaten right away as they pop-up! IMMEDIATELY after, slap on yo' pre-melted butter n' maple syrup...scoffin' them down shouldn't take more than 60 seconds!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the ease of Eggo waffles for breakfast on busy mornings, and the Star Wars images makes them exciting for my six year old. He rushes to the table to see who shows up on his waffle each morning. I was skeptical, but can easily identify the character on the waffles.

The first thing you notice is the anemic pale color compared to the golden original homestyle. Next you smell the extra sweetness. When you bite, the crisp texture is gone and replaced by mushy texture that hardens too much if you try to get it to the old way. What was once a nice breakfast or snack has become compromised into something hard to eat. Only those who are adults now can tell what is lacking. The kids dint know what they are missing.

I ate Homestyle eggos for years when I wouldn't have considered buying any other frozen waffle. Perfect taste and texture. But then Kelloggs doubled the amount of sugar. BOO!!! Now it's much too sweet for my taste, even if I eat them without syrup. If I want a sugar bomb, I'll have a cookie or a poptart

Since everyone else was talking about their outstanding and treasured history with eggo waffles, I will begin my review by talking about how when I was a kid I first encounter eggo waffles with their lego eggo waffle promotion. In my opinion the lego waffles just taste better. But enough about me, back to the waffles, I have not lived in America in many years, so my experience with eggo waffles are obviously imported or made elsewhere, and I have continued to enjoy them over these years. However, just recently moving to America I have purchased my first ever box of 24 waffles, and after consuming 10 of them and being grossed out by how sweet they are, I finally googled the issue to see if it's an American Eggo waffle thing or if I got a bad batch. It seems this taste is consistent with what the rest of consumers have been getting, and it seems that all of this started just about a year ago unfortunately. I have to say I am disappointed and sad that the waffles are so disgustingly sweet, I will give the buttermilk waffles a try, but I always preferred these. Please consider changing as it seems many out there agree with me.

I thought my kids were being finicky. It’s nice to know that they aren’t the only ones that thought they were too sweet.... We have bought Eggos for years and my kids eat them as for breakfast and as a snack. Sad to see the change in recipe. Unfortunately, we won’t be buying them anymore.

As a senior a whole waffle from a waffle iron is just too much. These like your pancakes make life so easy. Also in the summer I skip the syrup and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My Dad loved to do this and I like to hold that tradition near and dear to my heart.

They are a good source of vitamins and minerals and are made without artificial colors or flavors which is amazing! The ease of being able to just pop them in my toaster is great for a quick yummy breakfast. We will most definitely be getting these again!
