Perfect size for 2

We went from a 27 cu. ft. chest freezer to 7 cu. ft. chest freezer. It is the perfect size for 2 people. It is quiet running and I like the green lite and the temp. adjustment on the outside front of the freezer so you know it is working and can easily regulate the temp.

Great Freezer

I really like this freezer. It comes with a lot of nice things that make it a great purchase. It is just the right size for us. The baskets that it comes with are really nice and I like that it can lock. The light on the front is visible but not too bright, and so far the freezer has remained ice free. it does have a small amount of frost on the metal inside, but I'm not concerned about it.

Everything I was looking for in a freezer

This freezer looks like it will meet all my needs and then some! After downsizing and moving to an apartment I discovered that the freezer above the refrigerator just wasn't going to have enough space. Now I don't have to worry. It looks perfect- no dings, no dents, no scratches!

Doesn't hold temperature

Bought this freezer on September 9th. Since then, I've contacted the store three times in the past month and am promised each time that someone will call me back. No one ever does. Only when I have the temp setting at the Highest (7) level does it even come close to keeping the temp under Zero. That's just not right but no one is willing to help me. This is as much a 1-Star rating on the freezer as it is on the Seller.

This sounds discouraging and we can certainly understand your disappointment. The first thing to check is making sure that an item inside the freezer isn't keeping the lid from closing completely. Also, when a large amounts of water or hot food have recently been placed inside for storage, the freezer needs some time to reach its selected temperature. Lightweight and Lots of space

I ordered this freezer back in April, was told it would be delivered in a week. That week changed to 2 weeks, then a month, then 2 months etc. Needless to say, I just finally picked it up about 2 weeks ago, it's been 6 months. As far as the product itself goes, we love it. It's very lightweight, quiet and easy to set controls. There are a few dents from shipping but overall a really nice freezer. I highly recommend this freezer but be prepared to wait a while.

Very Happy

During the height of shut-down during pandemic our 4 year old equivalent freezer died- called everywhere for a new one. Finally found the HotPoint 7 ‘1 cubic chest freezer and could not be happier!! It was all we could find within 300 miles, and we are so glad we did. We weren't sure it was what we wanted, but we needed something, and As a matter of fact, we are extremely pleased. Only issue is it came completely boxed/ wrapped but it has a dent.

Dented goods.

Delivered on time, package was great. However after opening the chest freezer there was three dents on the front of it. No signs of possible damaged during shipping. Looks like they just send damaged good. Work good, however doesn't look the greatest.

Small but mighty!

We didn't want a big freezer for our garage and saw this on line. We have always liked Hotpoint so we were ready to try the smaller deep freezer. We have had the freezer for two months now and very pleased. Keeps everything very cold, right from the few hours we plugged it in.

Perfect for our needs in a 2 person home.

This freezer works great! I am glad we bought it. With Covid limitations. I limit my trips to the grocery store and the side by side refrigerators leave little space for storage. It's just the right size for us. I can fit a month's worth of food it it easily and not have any waste. Just plug-in and go. It fits nicely in our garage without having to make extra space.

Stopped working after 15 months

Lost a freezer full of meat when this thing stopped working after owning it for 15 months. Always kept the setting between 2-3 which kept everything frozen solid. Came downstairs to water everywhere and the stench you don't want to smell. Had to throw out meat that was worth 3x the freezer cost.
