Works great, perfect size

I had this delivered about a week ago and am really happy so far. It was affordable but still a good size - I was going back and forth between a 5 versus 7 and glad I went with the 7. It fits well in our garage and allows for a decent amount of extra freezer storage.

Right price, right size!

Hubby and I did quite a bit of shopping for an acceptable freezer. We chose this one because of the perfect size for our needs, its features, and the price. I love there are two sliding baskets and that it truly is deep and spacious. The only thing I think they could improve on is offering these larger appliances in different colors rather than just "white". Overall, we are very happy with this purchase!

Just the right price.

About 2 months ago, our last deep freeze, froze its last freeze. About a week later, we discovered where the smell was coming from. Needless to say, we got rid of it as fast as we could. 2 weeks ago, the wife and I went price and model comparing. For the size, the price was just right and the energy savings, I feel met the size and the price. This little beauty found a new home.

absolutely perfect for my needs!

This product is by far the best chest type freezer on the market for the price. unbox it, plug it in, set the thermo to middle of the road and 4 hours later I'm stocking in the goods. So quiet, I cannot here it running. Will no doubt serve me well for quite a while. Thanks Hotpoint for still making a quality product thats also affordable.

Died after 5 months

Bought this freezer in March 2021. It worked great for 5 months. It stopped freezing food exactly 5 months after plugging it in! Repairman says it is a non repairable unit. Wow - planned obsolescence! Don't recommend this product at all. Hotpoint does not stay cold!

Great Freezer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This freezer is big enough to hold what you need it to, and small enough to fit inside the kitchen. It fits nicely, and we loved the two removeable baskets and removable divider. For the price, you can't beat this size freezer.

Hotpoint® 7.1 Cu. Ft. Manual Defrost Chest Freezer

Great little freeze, quiet and keeps everything froze at a low setting. I like the light on it so you know it is running its that quiet. Just the right size for two people or four keeping extra food on Hand, we have ours in the garage it looks to good for out there! Just happy with it. B&M

Complicated

I bought this and had it installed on 11-26-20. And it stopped cooling about 3 weeks before the 1 year warranty expired. The repair man said these freezers don't have parts to repair the possible damage, and they don't make them easy enough to open and service, so the best option was to just replace or refund. The next day it started working again, so it may have needed rebooted or it could have been a frozen component, either way, I don't trust it! I lost a lot of money in food and I just don't trust these freezers anymore.

Great addition to small side refrigerator freezer

The small freezer with my refrigerator wasn't big enough. When I cook like to freeze meals to enjoy another day. When I buy meats divide it into small portions. Now I can find my frozen items. I did buy additional baskets to sort items as meats, meals, etc.

I bought this @Sam's Club. The barcode indicated it was a GE brand, had 2 baskets and a lock. However, when I opened it, I discovered it was a Hotpoint brand, had only one basket and NO LOCK. However, I decided to keep it instead of going through the hassle of returning it. It cools quickly and the inside dimensions are perfect for my needs. I only gave it 4 stars because it wasn't EXACTLY how it was described.
