About 2 months ago, our last deep freeze, froze its last freeze. About a week later, we discovered where the smell was coming from. Needless to say, we got rid of it as fast as we could. 2 weeks ago, the wife and I went price and model comparing. For the size, the price was just right and the energy savings, I feel met the size and the price. This little beauty found a new home.

This freezer is perfect for our family, it's quiet, not too large or small, comes with a couple of storage baskets! There's a light on the outside to let you know it's working. I love the fact that it has a lock however.... I have no idea how the lock works?

This product is by far the best chest type freezer on the market for the price. unbox it, plug it in, set the thermo to middle of the road and 4 hours later I'm stocking in the goods. So quiet, I cannot here it running. Will no doubt serve me well for quite a while. Thanks Hotpoint for still making a quality product thats also affordable.

We considered all brands vertical and upright suitable for a garage. In the end we went with Hotpoint due to quality, size (7.1 cu.ft.) and price point. We ended up placing the freezer in the house and not the garage. It was easy to move and fits nicely into smaller spaces. We have purchased an extra sliding basket and also freezer safe bins with movable compartments so it's easy to reach in and find what you are looking for. We don't hear the unit running - it's super quiet but nice to have a power on light to know you are in good shape. The drain valve in the front is nicely placed and will make any defrosting easy to manage. My husband and I like simple, easy and good quality and this one checks all the boxes.

This is the perfect size for us to stock up on some frozen meats, veggies and breads. Doesn't take up a lot of space in our garage and plugs right in existing outlet. Has a handy sliding basket that allows storage of things you grab often. Freezes well. Happy with this purchase.

For the price and size it is appropriate for our needs. Was expecting the defrost drain to allow for a hose to be attached, but given where it is located not a big thing. The "basket" that comes with it, is small, but we've made adjustments with some metal shelves that fit inside the freezer. Only have had it about a month so time will tell about it overall.

Very satisfied. Setup couldn't be easier. Remove all packing plug in and give a few hrs to get cold. I waited 24 hrs before adding any food 7 cu ft is plet big enough for food for two adults. With room for extra food during hurricane season. It comes with a plastic scraper for defrosting. We'll see how that goes when the time comes. Overall, I would recommend. Price is worth it. I got it from a big box hardware store. One con, delivery takes about 3 months. Choose it because hotpoint is a good brand. My grandmother had a hotpoint fridge that has lasted over 60 years

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good size freezer for to supplement overflow from main kitchen unit. Easily fits into a smaller place. Lightweight and easy to move to a basement. Green indicator light on front is a nice feature showing the unit is on. Storage baskets and locking lid are handy as well. Overall, nice clean appearance and a great value for the price.

Great little freeze, quiet and keeps everything froze at a low setting. I like the light on it so you know it is running its that quiet. Just the right size for two people or four keeping extra food on Hand, we have ours in the garage it looks to good for out there! Just happy with it. B&M

I bought this and had it installed on 11-26-20. And it stopped cooling about 3 weeks before the 1 year warranty expired. The repair man said these freezers don't have parts to repair the possible damage, and they don't make them easy enough to open and service, so the best option was to just replace or refund. The next day it started working again, so it may have needed rebooted or it could have been a frozen component, either way, I don't trust it! I lost a lot of money in food and I just don't trust these freezers anymore.
