reply from LG

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand that your LG dishwasher model LDTS5552S has had a persistent decaying smell from day one. Your feedback is important, and we'd like to assist you further. A potential troubleshooting step you could try is to thoroughly clean the dishwasher's filter, as trapped food particles can cause unpleasant odors. Additionally, running an empty cycle with a dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar placed on the top rack can help eliminate the smell. LG Dishwasher - Odor - https://www.lg.com/us/support/video-tutorials/lg-dishwasher-odor-CT10000009-20151094790088 If the issue persists, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions. We appreciate your patience. —Renzo
