This generator is easy to operate and has high enough output to operate all of my emergency back-up heaters and a microwave. I hope I never have to use it but if I do I know I can depend on the easy starting and reliable operation. New purchasers should double check the oil in the crankcase as delivered. I added fresh oil to the unit and discovered there was still some left in the crank from the factory. Other than that it was a piece of cake to assemble and get running. Cranked on second pull after adding gas and turning on the petcock, and I love the fact the engine is easy to drain and refill (funnel included). Also tech bulletins available on the champion website are a real nice touch including how to adjust the valves after break-in. Great customer service as well with questions answered by e-mail. Champion is a top drawer company.

I think it was a great deal!! My son just bought a house in the country and needed a generator, he is getting it for Christmas and ai am sure he will be thrilled! I hope so!

This machine will power any thing I've got,very easy to operate and after a year in use still starts on first pull every time would definitely buy again

Did in-store pick up of this generator. It was well boxed. Very little assembly needed and instructions were clear. No mention of installing handle in the quick start instructions, but easy to figure out with items left. After adding oil (not included) and gas, it started on first pull. Pull is very easy. Ran like a champ. I hooks it up to transfer box on my house and it ran six circuits with no issues. Had refrigerator and freezer on, lights, and one large screen tv. It is fairly heavy to pull across uneven ground, but doable. It is also moderately loud, but likely no louder to comparable generators.

Bought this unit last fall before hunting season and used it all season with no problems, uses a little more oil than I expected.

It works great and powers my house when the power goes out.

We are still without electricity two months after Irma and Maria. We use this generator twice a day for about 4-5 hours each time. Pull start on first pull if not quite full choke. Runs noisy and very poor current stability. Voltages hold ok but frequency is unstable.

This generator never started. Pulling chord never engaged. The three years warranty that was purchased could not be used as I was referred to Champion for help. I was instructed to take the generator to the nearest approved repairing place. I just returned to SAMs. I should not have to work to get something to function when I purchased it brand new

Great price, Champion generators are good solid performers. Never got to use the generator because the frame was bent so hard the welds broke. Two of the gas tank mounts were also mangled. The return was simple at the local Sams but overall a bad experience.
