Like all the other reviews are saying, it won't lay flat even after leaving it out of the box for the recommended time frame. It's especially unfortunate because once you remove it from the box, it's much harder to transport back to the store for a return.

We ordered 2 of these for our daughters when they eventually start sharing a room. We set one up a few months ago and it's rock hard so I had to order a mattress pad to help soften the blow but you can still tell the mattress is too firm. We set up the 2nd mattress today and it's waaaaay softer than the other one. Hard to believe it's supposed to be the same product. Inconsistencies should probably get straightened out because the hard version of this mattress would be impossible to sleep on. We still haven't made our kids sleep on it yet.

This product is all that the advertisement says it is. I bought this mattress with a little reluctance!! Knowing nothing is ever as how TV makes them out to be. After unpacking the mattress - the odor was killer- lets be honest, but after laying down knowing that I would not be able to withstand the smell I literally passed out....it was a wrap, I was a goner. My husband says it didn't take me five minutes to pass out. I had existing pressure points from my previous mattress but after laying down oh my goodness! those points were not exacerbated but relief was in sight.... I am only sorry I waited so long to buy it-but it's true what they say "you get what you pay for" and this is worth every penny. Happy customer Melloney Williams

I purchased this mattress a week ago and unwrapped it that day. The mattress still does not lay flat, I have not slept on it or touched it much but the edges are still raised. It looks more like a taco than a mattress. There is a zipper along the bottom of the mattress that was very easy to come undone and now won't zip back up easily. I am a little disappointed and unsure of how to feel about it all. As of now, I am a little disappointed.

Well I wasn't impress with Sam's Club and how long it took to receive my mattress. I waited over 6 weeks. But finally it has come in and the first night of sleep was amazing. It was very plushy like I wanted and I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Would recommend the Serta Plush mattress

We bought this bed based on the good reviews of the bed in a bag in a box. We should've taken the poor reviews more seriously. The beds are apparently hit or miss in how they unroll and fill out. After a week ours was still a taco. I took the cover off and saw why, the middle layer between foam and top was melted solid in two spots, the length of the mattress not allowing for expansion of the foam.

I purchased this mattress about a month ago. I got the mattress because I have rheumatoid arthritis and cannot sleep on most mattresses due to hip/pressure point pain. I liked the fact that it had a memory foam mattress but also innerspring and a pillow top. When I first opened it and was lifting it to put it on my bed (it is very light so my 15-year-old son and I were able to lift it), we were putting it over my foot board and caught the mattress underside and ripped a huge hole in the mattress, right into the foam. The foot board tip isn't sharp at all, but is rounded and pointy. I don't feel this should have torn it, but it did. At any rate, since the mattress isn't reversible, at least no one can see it. Upon first impression, once we placed it on a standard split twin box spring (that I already had) the bed is VERY tall. The mattress is 12" thick so I was expecting it to be higher than normal, but it is a little too tall for me as I have to kind of hop up to get on it (I am 5'6"). When I first laid down on the bed, it felt amazing! It is on the softer side so it may not be firm enough for some people. It doesn't have a firm, Temperpedic type feel to it at all. The pillow top is, like it says, "ultra plush", so in hindsight, I should have gotten something just a tad firmer because when I lay on it, I do sink in quite a bit. I love the mattress now, but I am afraid within just a few months, it may not spring back and have large dents imprinted where we sleep. The mattress looks very nice and I am hopeful that I will get my money's worth out of it. I am just really disappointed that it ripped (into the foam even) from just sliding over the foot board post.

Should've listened to the reviews. I bought one mattress and I let it “extend” even up to 72 hours but one side remained curled up. I was able to return with the tags provided, and I bought the same mattress because I thought the first one was just packaged badly. Well, the second one has done the same and it's actually a bit worse that the first one I had to return. I looked at the back of it after I unzipped the zipper and there's a big crease that doesn't it allow it to unfold and lay flat properly. It seems to be a manufacturer defect. Very frustrated.

I was skeptical because i love a hard firm matress but i trusted the reviews and i have to say its one of the best things to have ever happenned to me! I love it its a diff kind of matress so i needed like 2 nights just to get used to but u wont be disapointed also available at sams memory foam pillows 2 /$10 love those as well!

I have an old back injury, had grown used to waking up in pain and having to change positions multiple times per night and decided it was time for a change. Been rolling around on different brands of mattresses for several months now, in showrooms at various stores, unable to make up my mind. I was in Big Lots yesterday to buy an area rug when I noticed the Serta Stay on display. Not only did it feel amazing, the price was fantastic and the features and warranty were comparable to the crazy-expensive models I had tried elsewhere. I ended up buying it on the spot. It was easy to transport, even in my tiny Chevy Cruze, quick to set up and had very minimal odor. Slept on it last night and had no back pain at all for the first time in years. No pain. I can't believe it. I actually feel rested today!
