Excellent quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat in exchange for my honest review. This is the first Britax I've ever owned and I am really impressed with the quality and comfort. My favorite feature is the 7 position recline which allows a comfortable head position while napping. Super easy installation and click tight strap adjustments. The only complaint is that there isn't a cup holder. #stellarreviews #britaxsafety #Britax #trustedsafety #cleanandsimple #protectingdreams
Uncomfortable lap harness, hard to recline, disappointing
This seat arrived a few days ago for my 8 month old, 21 lb baby with chunky thighs. I read the instruction booklet. Then, the first annoying part of this seat showed itself and continues from there. The harness is hard to adjust, to pull up and down to set for the baby's shoulder height. It is not smooth. I move the crotch strap to the outer position as I know my baby has big thighs. Then I tried to recline the seat. The recline lever is hard to press and it is hard to move the recline. Once the lever actually gives way, it is difficult to then set the recline at one of the positions. It moves fast and suddenly, once I got it to move at all. Then, I pick up this beast (expecting it to be heavy) and put in the Honda CRV. I read the instructions and watched a video of how to install the seat with the Clicktight system. There is a learning curve but the seat installs nice and tight without having to lean (much) on the seat. I did have to lean slightly to get the Clicktight circle lever to close but realized later that I just had to loosen the seat belt slightly. Then, I realize the seat is not at the angle I want it to be for the baby but still in the zone for the infant recline. I take it out, and wrestle again with the recline. Britax should make the recline lever easier to press and easier to adjust the recline with clear indication as to which recline the seat is currently at. Right now, it is a frustrating guessing game. I expected more from such an expensive seat. I put the seat back in. I am still not exactly sure about the recline, but I leave the seat. We go for our first ride in this seat (leaving her other seat installed), a five minute ride to the post office. I put the baby in the seat again, but the first time inside of the car with the seat installed. The lap belt is not on her lower hip but across her thighs. That doesn't look right. I make sure the harness is fastened correctly. I then put the baby back in, and tighten the harness on the baby. I hear the click to indicate that the harness is tight enough, but a visual inspection confirms it is not. Additionally, the padding is thick and looks uncomfortable. The strap that goes across the baby's thighs has left a red mark on the left thigh. She also did not seem too happy. On the way home, she rode in her old seat. I later realize that the material for the harness is not the same seat belt material for cars, on the B-Safe, or on the Graco Size4Me. The harness material is thinner and rougher. Why, Britax, would you make the harness strap out of this material? I really want this seat to work but considering the recline issues, the harness on the chubby thighs (and yes, the crotch strap is in the outer option), and even the seldom used shoulder harness adjuster that is hard to move, I am just not happy with this seat, especially for the money. I expected everything to be seamless. I have a Graco Size4Me, and it is far superior to the Britax Boulevard Clicktight with the exceptions of the seat material, steel reinforced frame, made in USA, and the satisfyingly easy Clicktight system. (Note: We have a B-Safe infant seat, a Bob Revolution Flex, and B-Agile stroller and LOVE them.) I wish this seat would work for us but I plan to return it.
Comfortable and Easy to Use!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this car seat as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel and am very grateful! The seat is very easy to install (we were able to quickly easily install it in an Uber when traveling!) and has features to use it extended rear facing. The fabric is very nice and my son is very comfortable in it. However, it's very heavy! This carseat is great if you're going to leave it in the car, but I wouldn't recommend it for travel.
Disapointed
I absolutely love my daughter's Marathon and was really excited to buy this for my son last year. The click tight feature is awesome...literally takes 5 seconds to install and remove the seat. However, I've had issues from day 1 with the straps. My son is tall for his age and it's very hard to keep the straps around his shoulders and then buckle the bottom. I've tried removing the padding on the straps but then they dig into his shoulders/neck. I wish I could return this car seat and just get the basic Marathon again.
Quick & easy installation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this as our secondary seat to be moved between Daddy's truck and the grandparents vehicles. It super easy to instal and fits well between all our vehicles. It's very quick to adjust tilt and strap high.
Best convertible of the many we've tried!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is, by far, the best convertible car seat we've used (and our toddler has many chauffeurs, all using different models). Here is what we loved: Installation: literally the first time I have ever said this about a carseat. I am not in any way handy, but was able to get this baby into place with minimal sweating/swearing. Really, super easy. Trust me. Comfort: my toddler fights buckling in so much less since we got this seat. Coincidence? Maybe, but I don't think so. Safety: this thing is top-of-the line when it comes to safety specs. I'd suggest doing your own research there (or save yourself the trouble and trust me!), but to the layperson, it always feels safe, secure, and solid. Ease of use: except for a few twisting issues noted below, clicking in my child and adjusting the straps is really easy. There's an accessible (only to adults) button you stick your finger in if you need to loosen. It's so smart. Optics: we have the metro, which is just a slick look. The seat is more compact than most. Here is what we didn't love so much: Tangling straps: I've found this to be the case with other Britax models as well, but we get a lot of twisting. The rubber things seem to compound the issue. Limited leg space for front seat passenger: but I've found this to be the case with almost every carseat. Overall though I strongly recommend this seat. I received it as a gift from the weespring parent panel.
Super Easy to Install and Use
I own multiple Britax products and car seats and this new clicktight technology is amazing. So easy and convenient to use.
Great seat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been extremely pleased with our car seat...
Difficult to remove
The seat was very difficult to remove from the lower tether. The belt would not loosen and the clicktight button was almost impossible to rotate.
Amazing quick and easy install
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've installed many types of car seats and this is by far one of the easiest to get a tight install without much effort! A great seat for people who need to take seats in and out of cars!
