Great car seat for little ones!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We really enjoy cruising around with the Britax Boulevard ClickTight Convertible Car Seat! It's super stylish and is easy to install - my husband was able to get it set up in under 10 minutes. The locking system latched securely (yet simply for me) at his chest and around his thighs. He seemed to enjoy the depth and recline of the seat. My favorite feature was the wide head rest, where my child snoozed on our journeys. Thank you Stellar Testing Panel for letting us try out this great convertible car seat!
Safe, Sturdy and Secure
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have a 13-month-old and this car seat was ideal for him. He's taller and skinnier than most, so the adjustable features to raise the height was easy for even me to figure out! My husband was the pro at installing it into his car - which is a two door Honda Civic SI. It fits but is very snug in the backseat (it fits MUCH easier into my four door Subaru Forrester). The car seat is rather heavy and bulky, so moving it from vehicle to vehicle could be an issue for some, but the click feature does make the installation easier than other convertible car seats. The car seat is built like a tank - very, very sturdy and you can tell the side impact protection is top notch. Let's hope we never have to test that out! The biggest con we had was adjusting the reclining position to the ideal spot for our son. It's tough to figure out where he should be on the rear facing scale (we opted for somewhere in the middle since he'll be rear facing until he's 2), and getting it just right is the toughest part. Disclaimer: I received this car seat as a gift from the weeSpring Parent Panel.
Incredibly sturdy!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this convertible car seat for my child! I was amazed at the simplicity of the installation process. Once it is installed correctly it does not move around at all which is why I feel like this is the safest car seat she has ever had. The material is soft, easy to clean, and she says it is very comfortable. The straps glide smoothly through the car seat, making it easy to get the perfect fit every time she rides in it. The only con I found is that it is lower in my SUV than I thought it would be which makes it harder for her to see out the window. However, I believe the pros definitely outweigh that one con which is why I still gave the product 5 stars. I received this convertible car seat in the to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for my honest review.
Disapointed
I absolutely love my daughter's Marathon and was really excited to buy this for my son last year. The click tight feature is awesome...literally takes 5 seconds to install and remove the seat. However, I've had issues from day 1 with the straps. My son is tall for his age and it's very hard to keep the straps around his shoulders and then buckle the bottom. I've tried removing the padding on the straps but then they dig into his shoulders/neck. I wish I could return this car seat and just get the basic Marathon again.
Excellent quality!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this convertible car seat in exchange for my honest review. This is the first Britax I've ever owned and I am really impressed with the quality and comfort. My favorite feature is the 7 position recline which allows a comfortable head position while napping. Super easy installation and click tight strap adjustments. The only complaint is that there isn't a cup holder. #stellarreviews #britaxsafety #Britax #trustedsafety #cleanandsimple #protectingdreams
Confident installation
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This car seat seems so safe! Right out of the box, it's heavy and not obvious how to install. However, the instructions were clear and we had it in the car quickly. The click tight system had us feeling so good about the installation. Its low profile made it really easy to get kiddo in and out. My kiddo loved the Contour Purple color (it's her favorite!) She did not like the lack of cupholders in this model. We opted to send this one to Grandma's and return to our tried and true, but we know she will be so safe and comfortable in Grandma's car. Comfy, easy to use, and SAFE!!
We bought this convertible car seat for our 1 year old. Our daughter is petite (20lbs), and it fits her comfortably with room to grow into. One thing I was looking for was the head rest to be a little wider, and this car seat has it. I absolutely love the click-tight feature!! Another thing we love about this car seat is the shoulder straps are adjustable by pulling the handle on top of the car seat; NO more re-threading the straps as your child grows. This is a really heavy car seat, at least for me. But it's always in the car so we don't need to move it often. Only thing I would change is the instructions on how to attach the cup holder; no big deal since we have a cup holder in the car anyways!
Uncomfortable lap harness, hard to recline, disappointing
This seat arrived a few days ago for my 8 month old, 21 lb baby with chunky thighs. I read the instruction booklet. Then, the first annoying part of this seat showed itself and continues from there. The harness is hard to adjust, to pull up and down to set for the baby's shoulder height. It is not smooth. I move the crotch strap to the outer position as I know my baby has big thighs. Then I tried to recline the seat. The recline lever is hard to press and it is hard to move the recline. Once the lever actually gives way, it is difficult to then set the recline at one of the positions. It moves fast and suddenly, once I got it to move at all. Then, I pick up this beast (expecting it to be heavy) and put in the Honda CRV. I read the instructions and watched a video of how to install the seat with the Clicktight system. There is a learning curve but the seat installs nice and tight without having to lean (much) on the seat. I did have to lean slightly to get the Clicktight circle lever to close but realized later that I just had to loosen the seat belt slightly. Then, I realize the seat is not at the angle I want it to be for the baby but still in the zone for the infant recline. I take it out, and wrestle again with the recline. Britax should make the recline lever easier to press and easier to adjust the recline with clear indication as to which recline the seat is currently at. Right now, it is a frustrating guessing game. I expected more from such an expensive seat. I put the seat back in. I am still not exactly sure about the recline, but I leave the seat. We go for our first ride in this seat (leaving her other seat installed), a five minute ride to the post office. I put the baby in the seat again, but the first time inside of the car with the seat installed. The lap belt is not on her lower hip but across her thighs. That doesn't look right. I make sure the harness is fastened correctly. I then put the baby back in, and tighten the harness on the baby. I hear the click to indicate that the harness is tight enough, but a visual inspection confirms it is not. Additionally, the padding is thick and looks uncomfortable. The strap that goes across the baby's thighs has left a red mark on the left thigh. She also did not seem too happy. On the way home, she rode in her old seat. I later realize that the material for the harness is not the same seat belt material for cars, on the B-Safe, or on the Graco Size4Me. The harness material is thinner and rougher. Why, Britax, would you make the harness strap out of this material? I really want this seat to work but considering the recline issues, the harness on the chubby thighs (and yes, the crotch strap is in the outer option), and even the seldom used shoulder harness adjuster that is hard to move, I am just not happy with this seat, especially for the money. I expected everything to be seamless. I have a Graco Size4Me, and it is far superior to the Britax Boulevard Clicktight with the exceptions of the seat material, steel reinforced frame, made in USA, and the satisfyingly easy Clicktight system. (Note: We have a B-Safe infant seat, a Bob Revolution Flex, and B-Agile stroller and LOVE them.) I wish this seat would work for us but I plan to return it.
Love this car seat!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had bought a Britax roundabout but upgraded to the boulevard- love them both but the click tight feature is AMAZING! Such a breeze to install and my daughter is snug as a bug! Britax fans for life! Safest for our daughter and a mothers piece of mind!
Love this seat!
I bought this seat about a week ago to transition our baby girl out of her infant carrier. She LOVES sitting in the seat and it was easy to put in the car.. I actually was able to install it with one hand while holding her on my other hip. The only issue I had with the installation was that when I had it in the furthest reclining position and had it clicked in the seat wasn't as reclined as I would have liked it to be. The seat is installed in my 2011 GMC Acadia in one of the captains chairs. My car seats have a bit of a slant on the bottom of the seat so when I get the seat completely installed, the position ball was in the middle of the guide instead of in the farthest part of the light blue (infant position) like I would have liked. The seat is very heavy but the ease in installation makes up for that. Both Britax seats I own are on the heavy side but you can tell they are well made. The seat is a little on the expensive side but when it comes to protecting my children I get the best product I can get and I know I have that with both of my Britax products!!
