The generator needed about 20 minutes for minor assembly and was then ready to fire up. I chose to break the machine in off of a 20lb propane tank and it ran great. I then continued to use propane to energize my home's transfer switch and successfully was running my homes furnace, refrigerator, washing machine and lights as the first test for keeping essential circuits energized when the power grid goes down. I'll be having my plumber run a natural gas hook up for it, and I'll then be set. I'm happy thus far with this generator that will be used for my homes essential circuits back up power during power failures.

After unboxing and inspecting the unit, I was quickly impressed by the simplicity of this generator even though it has features that can make it more complicated! It is designed well so that anyone can operate it easily, even without reading the manual. I do recommend reading it regardless of this, the design is good to the point that you won't have to pull out the manual every time to "brush up" on things since you may not be using it very often. Everything is clearly marked and intuitive, well thought out!

Haven't had cause to use this yet. Purchased during a period when TX waived sales taxes on emergency supplies for hurricane season. I especially like the tri-fuel feature. Great peace of mind having this. Especially after the great Valentines Day freeze and blackout from last year. Only caution I'd give is for getting this onto the wheels. Have a friend help. My spouse isn't able to help and getting this thing unboxed and onto the wheels was a struggle. Once it's on the wheels and feet, the swing out handle makes it easy to move. Makes it easy enough my spouse could move it if the need arose and I was out of town. Yet one more thing to give peace of mind. Only things I'd 'improve' (and these are not major). Have some marking on the box so you can tell which end is where the wheels mount. As I said, getting this onto the wheels solo wasn't easy. If you have help, it's not much of an issue. But my spouse can't do any heavy work and my neighbor just had surgery. So for most people finding someone to help won't be an issue. Only other minor thing is, for the quick-start guide, I'd add engine oil before connecting the battery. That way if the start switch was stuck due to something that happened during shipping, you won't start cranking the engine with no oil. But overall, well built and a lot of good features. Now to go add a transfer panel.

Bought this as an emergency back up generator for my house. The flexibility of using Gas LPG or NG was the key. Generator works great and powers everything that I need to in order to keep my house warm if there is an emergency during an Alaskan winter.

Bought unit as a back-up for potential power outages. Selected this particular generator because of its multi-fuel ability. Currently have it attached to a natural gas supply but have several propane bottles as back-ups. Assembly and start up directions were very easy to follow and it fired right up with no issues. If the power company has problems, I won't, and won't lose any food stocks. With this large capacity unit I'm planning on getting a portable A/C unit to keep cool while I eat. Also bought the Storm Shield cover to protect it from the elements, even while it's running.

Didn't realize I would need this so quickly after purchasing. Power went out, hooked in up (in the dark, it was that easy) and waalaah! We had power! It did shut off after roughly 6 hours (It was outside and 20 ft from the house) but it turned right back on when I restarted it (I will have to look into that further.

We just received our tri-fuel portable generator and couldn't be happier with it! After the last hurricane we realized that counting on gasoline as our only fuel option was not a good fit. Two hour lines at the gas pumps made us decide that having the option of using either propane or natural gas was a much smarter way to go. This generator is well built and we are now prepared for whatever comes our way.

Got this generator because we have natural gas at the house and seemed like a perfect fit. Took about 20 minutes to put get it set up once out of the box. Used it for the first time this week with no issues. Two fridges and pool hooked up and didn't even make a dent. If there was anything I would knock, just a little bit, is that its not the quietest generator I've ever heard but the 25 foot NG hose get it a bit away from the house. Overall great product. Haven't had to use gas or propane in it yet.

The Tri-Fuel generator is awesome...everything I was expecting. I have never owned Champion Power Equipment products before but can honestly say after receiving the generator and its performance I would not hesitate on buying another Champion product. It was packaged well, all parts and accessories were there, battery was charged and after adding oil, plugging battery connection together, hooking up propane tank...it fired right up and I even forgot to choke it (oops). I would consider the noise level to be acceptable...I don't think it is as loud as my 23 hp mower.

I had to wait nearly a month until I received this generator, maybe because of a big demand, but was glad when I finally got it. Being able to use gas, propane and natural gas is huge for me. I plan to use it mainly via natural gas, but having options is a huge plus. It came packaged well and was easy to put together and move. Fits perfectly in the small shed I purchased to house it whie not in use. Will be using it mainly for backup power during outages and will allow us to run most of the equipment in our house. Working on the 5 hour break in now, and all is going well. Will report back on anything of significance. It was easy to set up and is easier to start and use than my previous generator. We use it for backup power to the house and appreciate that it can run on natural gas.
