This is my first generator, and I chose it due to the high reviews and the flexibility for fuel choices. During last winter's snow storm and power outages, we were without power for over 50 hours, eventually being forced to leave our home and go to a shelter. This would have enabled us to stay home in relative comfort, as well as prevented us from losing everything in our refrigerator and deep freeze. Even during the power outages we never lost natural gas. This generator just looks and feels like really high quality, even before opening the box. Everything you need is provided except for the fuel you choose. I did the 5 hour break-in yesterday and it started right up with the pushbutton. Easy to use, high quality, a lot of thought and attention to detail. My only suggestion for improvement would be to do something to make it run quieter. This thing was really, really loud. In the case of another long power outage, my neighbors are just going to have to learn to tune it out, but it would be nice if it was quieter, especially for the price. Champion has put so much quality into this and attention to detail that it seems out of place for it to be so loud. Other that that, this thing is great and I highly recommend it.

I bought this generator in order to supply power to a couple refrigerators and some needed power in case of emergencies. I have not yet used it but I can tell that it is very well built right out of the box. The instructions appear to be very easy to follow.

This generator was put together pretty quickly easily read directions quick start guide was awsome and then it fired up immediately and that put a smile on my face ran for 5 hours changed oil and then ran for 40 more before power came back on so glad i bought this brand recommended by my buddies.i to will recommend. Back up house power. Great piece of equipment love the ease of fuel choice. Power went out used quick release nrg hose connect that comes w , just plug it in push the start button and starts right up powered hole house sweet ...can't ask for more!! everyone used have one.

THIS BABY IS A BEAST ON NATURAL GAS. STARTED FIRST TIME AND EVERY TIME OUT OF THE BOX. BLEW MY ELECTRICIAN'S MIND WHEN I RAN A 5 TON A/C, 3 REFERS, AND ANYTHING ELSE I WANTED. WHO NEEDS PG&E? TALK ABOUT ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, YOU COULD PUT YOUR MOUTH ON THE EXHAST. THERE IS NO EXHAUST FUMES. THIS BABY WILL NEVER SEE A DROP OF GASOLINE. I HAVE ALL THE JUICE I NEED WITH NATURAL GAS. Very impressed with quality of the generator ,great that it included oil and connection hose,s for LP and Natural Gas, wheel kit is also a plus since generator is quiet heavy. The trifuel is the reason I purchased this model, finally can operate the unit on my home natural gas supply ( no fuel storage or contamination issue,s).

This is our seecond purchase of a CPE generator. We purchased a portable inverter generator a few years ago which still works great. We got this tri-fuel to handle more of the higher-load 240v circuits (i.e. A/C, dryer, dishwasher), and the tri-fuel capability allows virtually unlimited runtime during prolonged outages. For times when we don't need the higher-load items, our smaller generator fits the bill, but when we need more, it's great to know that this generator will carry us.

Using as a home standby generator. will be able to power up both refrigerators, central AC/heat, and other miscellaneous with this bad boy. Absolutely love the natural gas. I opened it up, assembled in 5 minutes, plugged in my has line and it fired right up. Exactly what i needed and a great price

I ordered a generator from another vendor only to find out that the natural gas requirement was too high for what my home has and the plumbers hooking up the gas recommended Champion. I ordered the 8000-watt tri-fuel and got a higher output generator that started right up and has worked flawlessly since. Very happy with this purchase.

Last year for Hurricane Ida, we used a generator with a natural gas conversion on it, but it with nat gas, it was derated too much to run some of the things we wanted (not needed). My neighbor took my advice and when he purchased a gen before the storm and he got this model. After the storm, i tested out his gen on my nat gas drop and transfer switch and was so impressed that I wanted one for our use. I ordered it in March and did the simple assembly process and added oil. Once connected to the nat gas, it's been running without any issues (i had concerns with the pressure drop in the 25' long hose). Should finish up the break in, change the oil and we will be GTG for the next outage. Not having to look for gasoine is a HUGE benefit in a significant power outage and having 7kW available should be more than enough for our needs.
