a must have

live in hurricane country. your power will go out one to three weeks in some areas.. fuel for your generator will be hard to get and exspensive. this unit gives you three options. easy to hook up. has more than enough power to run all the appliances and i can still use it for projects around the house. highly recommended

Great product!

I'm very pleased with this generator, the looks, the craftsmanship, easy to use. It's actually pretty quiet too! I ran it on natural gas for the 5 hour break in and changed the oil. Haven't had any outages or hooked it to the house since I got it but from what I have seen it's definitely worth it.

Great first impression and product.

This is the first generator I have owned and it has made a great impression so far. Everything you need was included and it started right up with no issues. I have not had a chance to use it in a emergency yet but I have no doubt it will be ready when needed.

8000W Tri-Fuel Generator - Highly Recommend

I have been researching Portable Generators for several months. Read all the reviews I could find and bought the Champion 8000W Tri-Fuel Generator. The three-fuel source feature was important to me for maximum ability to use in a power outage. My needs are for household power outages AND to put in my truck to go help family members in areas as needed if they have power outages. Right out of the box, the Champion build quality is very impressive. Solid, strong, great labels and on-product instructions. Took me 10 mins to get wheels, front legs, battery connected and strapped, filled with oil, then gas. The included funnel and 1.1 liters of 10W-30 oil made it super easy. The unit powered right up on the Gas choke and settled down to a steady run rate. For a test, I plugged in my 110V/220V power source MIG Welder and ran a bead on 1/8 inch steel. No issues. I have no doubt it could run at rated capacity. Highly recommend the Champion generators and extension cords.

Awesome investment that I hope I'll never need

I unpacked it and got it up and running in a half hour. It was really easy to get the propane and natural gas options going. I love not having to worry about rushing to the gas station in a panic and waiting in line for gasoline. To break it in, I hooked up a portable air compressor to it, opened the drain valve slightly, and let the generator run for an hour. The small air leak ensured that the compressor cycled on and off causing the generator to vary its speed a little, which is recommended by the owners manual. I feel bad for the people in South Florida. I haven't replaced my generator before Hurricane Ivan, and I hope another 18 years goes by without needing this new generator.

Highly recommend

We got this product after big storms blew through unexpectedly, and it was a lifesaver! It ran our freezers which were full of beef and refrigerator and TV, which are the only things we really needed going. The small price we paid for this generator saved five times more in the amount of meat that we saved. We highly recommend this company and this generator!

I am pleased with this purchase

I purchased this portable generator a few days ago. I am pleased with the ease of setup and testing and have it ready to work with my new transfer switch in my home. I tested it with the included propane hose and discovered this hose had a leak. I am working with the customer service department to have a replacement sent to me. I had no other issues with the setup or first start of my new generator. I happy with the build quality of the generator and control placement on the panel. This is a great product.

Nice Protection

I bought this for protection against power outages. I'm in south Texas where we lose power 2 or 3 times a year. This is a really heavy generator. Your going to need two people to move it around. Out of the box this was simple to put together and get started. It was up and running in 15 minutes. This is just what I was looking for. I have the option to use gas, propane, and natural gas which is a great option. I haven't needed for an outage yet but will update when it happens.

Exactly what was wanted!

We wanted a portable generator that ran on natural gas. Current choices are limited. We love that this one will run on gasoline, propane, or natural gas. We just got it, haven't needed to use it yet. But it appears well made and should fulfill our needs should we loose power. Definitely provides "peace of mind".

I love the options!

This is a generator I'm using to power my how when the storms get rough the knock out the power. I like products that give me options. This one lets me choose my fuel. I have natural gas, so that's my primary fuel. Sometimes I'll use it when traveling, then the propane is nice. I'm not really interested in gas, since I can't just "set-it-and-forget-it", but it's good to have that widely available option too. While it powerful enough for my needs, I'd like to see some more powerful portable units that are also Tri-Fuel capable. I knew about the power limitations between the fuel types from my pre-purchase research, so I knew what to expect and didn't consider it a huge issue.
