I am very impressed thus far with the generator but the quick start directions could be clearer. It stated that it was natural gas ready which I assumed it would start right away on NG but you have to turn the switch which is on the side of the generator not the front to NG because it is on propane. It is certainly not clear in the instructions IMHO. If it is NG ready it should start when I hook up the NG and it did not until I found the switch on the side. The generator is great but the instructions are lacking IMHO. It is very loud as well as most small engines.

I purchased this product for two reasons, 1 for the electric start which my wife loves 2. So i can stop going to the gas station to get fuel for a generator. I would have marked higher rating but the getting to this review page took 20 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We recently hooked up to natural gas and needed a generator replacement that would use that fuel. The hook up was easy and it runs great. The price was thousands less than the automatic start generators that we looked into. The push button start is a Godsend to these old shoulders!!

Love that its Trifuel. I was away working for the hurricane and it's so easy to operate that my wife was able to handle this generator all on her own. We didn't have time to have the natural gas hooked up to it but when the lines to get gas was HOURS long, having the option to use propane was a big stress reliever for her. The propane was clean and easy. This generator is definitely user friendly. If my wife can operate this on her own, anyone can.

This unit has everything I was looking for in a generator. The power generation capability, the tri-fuel options and the size of the unit all meet my needs. Although it is heavy, the large wheels and built-in handle make it relatively easy to move and store. It is new, so I can't speak to the reliability at this point but I anticipate many years of good service.

I ordered this generator a few days ago to power essential circuits in the house in the event of a power failure. It arrived on time, was very easy to put the wheels and feet on. It's heavy but not hard to move around with the wheels. Everything I needed came in the box, and I had it up and running in no time. I'm using natural gas for fuel as I had a gas outlet on my deck for a gas grill, and this way I don't have to worry about refueling or running out of fuel. I had done my tie-in at the panel a few days previous, and test ran the generator for about a half hour, making sure it would run what I needed in the house, which it did...mainly refrigerators and lighting circuits, though it would power the furnaces in cold weather too. I have ordered an interlock for the panel to eliminate the possibility of back-feeding into the power grid. I highly recommend this product.

Just got this generator less than one week. Easy starting up with propane and gas. Waiting to complet the NG line connection to test later. Fairly compact form, but heavy as expected. Wish to have the avail cover that would come with it so can leave it outside rather have to roll it around or to make a fixture/cover for it. Little lounder some of the smaller units, but expected for higher power output.

A while back I bought a used generator and transfer switch. O installed it and a short time later the governor failed. I was trying to decide what to do and came across this Champion portable generator. I had already run a natural gas line and wanted something that would run on it. This generator will run on gasoline, propane or natural gas. The size and price were right. And I did not need to hire someone for the install/start-up. Wish I had seen this year's ago. It would have saved me time and money. So far I 've only run it 5 hours to complete the break in. Ran it both on a propane tank and after getting a couple more fittings on natural gas. Seemed to run everything including the 2 ton A/C. I don't have the range, water heater or dryer connected to it. But most everything else.

I bought this generator because it can run on household natural gas supply, propane, or gasoline. I don't need to keep on hand propane or gasoline for an extended utility power outing, but I do keep some of each on hand for the most extreme emergencies. Making a connection to my natural gas supply at my clothes dryer was simple and easy using the included flex hose. I appreciate the very adequate power output, the electric start, and the 4-stroke engine.

I bought this generator shortly after having natural gas installed at my home. I have had a gasoline generator in the past but the appeal here is that if the area is out of power, then the gas stations won't be able to fill gas cans for my generator. The tri-fuel setup is easy and quick. Open the box. Put on the wheels. Put on the two feet. Fill up the supplied engine oil. My generator started up the first time. The instructions were clear and operation is easy. I would highly recommend this generator to anyone. I do wish that Champion offered a larger version in the 10-15kw range, but this is for emergencies after all. I am going to build a small generator shed to house this outside with a circulating fan to keep the CO away from the unit and to prevent the CO sensor from shutting this off at an inconvenient time. I purchased the storm cover to use until the genny shed is finished. It is a great temporary option for me but I feel it is vastly overpriced- but hey, this is all for piece of mind, right?
