Perfect Timing. Perfect Bday Gift.. to Myself

I gifted this smart timepiece to myself after returning the purchase of GOOGLE Pixel 3 for defects unexpectedly. I never had a smartwatch, fit but or any type of tech watch because I always believed a "watch is a watch" lol...however, March 2025, GARMIN made me a believer. The easy set up, the advanced health and fitness tracking with a user-friendly design and long battery life. I appreciate its accurate heart rate tracking, particularly during strength training, and its ability to monitor various metrics like sleep stages and blood oxygen. The Venu 3 also offers a good balance of smartwatch features, including notifications, calls, and text messaging.

Great watch. Easy to setup and configure. use it primarily for fitness tracking. it gives great heart data. found myself using it for meditation and yoga also. incredible battery life. the smart notifications don't work as well as the ones on my apple watch. overall much better than my apple watch and my old vivoactive.

excellent w a few exceptions

Upgraded from a Venu 2, really enjoy having a speaker, mic and the ecg app in this one, plus the battery life seems a little better too. It seems to work smoother, however I haven't been able to find out how to create a text without replying to one sent. Also love the workout benefit analysis that I've only been able to find on this and the Edge 130 plus. One other issue I have noticed is, even though it seems to be connected to my phone, I often have to find my phone again to make a call using it. Oh and I find the charging port easily disconnects from the charging cable, if I plug it in and set it down, it often disconnects a little too easily which is somewhat annoying.

Great watch - not very intuitive to use

After owning several versions of another brand of fitness/smartwatch and finding the accuracy and features lacking, I settled on the Venu 3 after much research. There is a bit of a learning curve to overcome - there are A LOT of features and sorting out which ones are important to you can take some time. The main ones I use are the EKG App, Steps, Heart Rate and Pulse Ox. The step count is much more accurate than my previous watch. At a recent doctors appointment I compared the Venu 3 readings to actual medical devices. Heart Rate was within a beat or two of being spot on, Pulse Ox was off by about 10 points - the finger monitor reading was 98% and the Venu 3 was 88%. My doctor was interested in the comparisons so we did this several times and the Venu 3 was consistently low. The big surprise for me was the EKG App - comparing the EKG readings from the Venu 3 and what was taken in the office showed almost identical readings. I was not expecting this level of accuracy. The Garmin messaging feature is cumbersome and not intuitive so I don't use it. Getting texts and call notifications from my iPhone works very well most of the time. There have been several times I have gotten a text but it didn't show up on my watch. Not a big deal to me, but if you're counting on 100% notifications, it may not happen. There are more apps and features on this watch than most people will likely use. That being said, it is very customizable to whatever data set you're looking to track. The downside is it is not very intuitive and getting things set up takes awhile and a measure of patience. If you very tech oriented this may not be the watch for you. The silicone band is secure, but gets uncomfortable after a long day, it doesn't breathe so sweat and moisture tend to collect. I haven't researched alternative bands yet, but I likely will. There are hundreds of alternative watch faces available to add, many free, some are not. It is very easy to overload the watch face with so much data it is near impossible to read. I have tried several different faces and gone back to the default every time. For my needs I am so far happy with the Venu3 despite some of its drawback.

Great watch just wish I could flip the display

I’ve had this watch for a while. Great fitness tracking and overall battery performance. The problem is I wish I could flip the display. I keep accidentally pressing the buttons and if I could flip the display this wouldn’t happen. I also wish you could answer text messages on the watch but sadly there is no way to do that with this watch.

I love this Watch

After 9 years of having Fitbit I switched over to Garmin and very happy I did it. The interface is so much better (I can actually read all my notifications), so many watch face options. I have my workout watch face, casual/chill face, and “fancy” face for dates and nice events. I kind of wish I could put those on a schedule (hint hint garmin). It has more algorithms (data insights). I love the microphone/speaker feature and also in LOVE with the battery life. It was definitely more expensive than my Fitbit charges which did make me nervous but I’m very happy with the purchase. The next test is longevity and checking out more apps with it. Hopefully I’ll get 3 or more years out of it!

Not a good match for an iPhone user

I went from an Apple Watch to this watch, the Apple Technology is way smarter, and more user friendly. The look is wonderful, but it just lacks the ability to use apps with an iPhone. If you have another brand of phone maybe it would be a better option. I unfortunately cannot return this watch so I am very disappointed.

Venu 3 Whitestone with Silver Bezel

I have been wearing this Venu 3 watch for over a month. (Female wrist approx 6.6"). It came with a beautiful bright white and silver silicone watch band. It is comfortable without being too bulky. I'm a 1st time Garmin customer. The watch was easy to figure out straight from the box. I enjoy all of the fitness metrics both on the watch and in the app. It offers lots of motivation tools such as reminders to move and badges to earn. I wish there was a white nylon band that I could purchase to switch out sometimes. Can't find one anywhere.

Awesome watch

I upgraded to a newer watch last month. I had one of the original Venu. This one has so many extra features. It has a long battery life between 8-9 days with the pulse ox and other features turned on. There are a lot of free screen faces to choose from. Very comfortable and easy to read. I chose the larger face and it still looks good on a female wrist.

Perfect For Workouts!

I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just received two weeks ago. I love the size and brightness of the display and customizable watch faces. I am a swimmer, so I primarily find it useful for pool laps. In the water - as well as outside the pool - the fantastic display, clock, notifications, etc. are all user friendly. I will definitely get another one when a newer model comes out!
