Venu3

I bought through Garmin directly. I had a forerunner 45 and I was happy with it. I wanted to upgrade with sleeping app and it wet on sale and bought it. It has a larger face, better band and a few more tools, I may never use. It's been about a month and no issues.

Great watch for general health and activities

I bought this watch a lo th ago to replace a Venu 2 that died after 3 years. I like the health monitoring and reporting features - steps, stairs, sleep, stress - the timer and stopwatch - and the activity tracking for running, biking, hiking. I like the new morning wakeup wakeup feature, complete with an inspirational phrase to start off the day. It has a large, easy to read face, and best of all - long battery life !!

This watch has a lot to offer

Great looking and comfortable. Health apps give lots of info on what is happening with your body. But, I wonder about the sleep app and the body battery. It tells me I took a nap when I’m not and I didn’t when I did. Plus I don’t like the workout app for the gym. It wants too much input while working out. It is a very complicated watch but I’m getting better understanding the functions as time goes on.

Better sleep results

Easy to set up, seems accurate counting steps, sleep etc Only thing I'm having issues with is the assistant. It's unusable as it only works if your phone is open and then you might as well use the phone. I wanted something that I could easily use to leave myself a reminder while exercising.

First full-featured smartwatch.

I bought this after the Fossil hybrid smartwatch I bought earlier in the year failed to charge a few months later, and they gave me a refund. I didn't have high expectations (not because Garmin or quality), I mostly planned on having minimal notifications and trying the running and breath work features. Honestly, it blows me away at how well the activity tracking and health metrics work. The insane library of customizing the watch face allowed me to set up something relatively minimal, and it honestly adds to my day. The weight is ridiculous, coming in less than some of my traditional watches, and the battery life has been fantastic.

Lot's of information

I love that the watch has so much information available to me and that I can pick and choose what I want to see. After some practice the many menus become easier to use, but it did seem daunting at first. I like the ability to send quick responses to text messages from the watch and answer calls from the watch when I am not near my phone. Overall I am very happy with the watch and the only con I can think of is the purported battery life. My watch tends to last no more than 5-7 days when not using any of the GPS functions, which is far less than the reported 14 days it is supposed to get. I am not unhappy with the battery life, I am just noting that for me it does not last as long as advertised.

Excellent Smart Watch!

Excellent Smart Watch with everything I wanted and needed. I have been a Garmin fan for many years now, this is my fourth Garmin watch and have yet to be disappointed! I am particularly happy with the ECG App and it's features, which is my primary reason for upgrading now from the Vivoactive 4. Good work Garmin engineers and developers!

Has many great features but no instructions

For example it keeps a ton of information on any golf course but I have not yet figured out how to find the distance to a hazard. Also only recently stumbled onto how to change distances from meters to yards. Same for my bike ride there are three screens of information on a ride, but once I saved the ride I could not find screen 2 or three. A very smart watch, but likes to keep secrets.

Love this watch

Love that I don't have to charge it every other day like other watches by companies that make smart phones. Lasts me about 9 days depending on activity. I run about 13 miles a week and really rely on it tracking by VO2 Max, heart rate (I'm 62 so have to monitor this), fitness age and more. I ended up getting the Garmin blood pressure cuff and scale. Now my watch, scale and BP monitor all report to my Garmin connect for a nice wellness summary. Had my annual physical and my doctor was quite impressed. The Garmin tools to track fitness are just what I needed.

Best watch I've ever had

Bought this to replace a Vivoactive 3, a watch that I loved. This Venu 3 is even better. GPS is faster and more accurate. It has many more capabilities for monitoring health. I found a watch face that works well for me. Perhaps the most helpful thing is the three buttons for navigation in addition to swiping. (The Vivoactive3 only had one, so it was always a combination of push or hold and up/down/left/right swipes.) The only minor complaint is have is that the buttons don't stick out much (which is good and bad, so a compromise), but they seem a little 'soft' when pushing them. Still, this is the best watch I've ever had, and I recommend it.
